Re: How to seperate sealled Drum

Shouldn’t be a problem if I ever do that. Have had the odd inner drum on the back in the past. Alternatively, I think Connect will do drop shipping?

    Re: motor temperatures

Most, if not all, of them have a self resetting toc buried in the coils. I’ve often noticed motors getting a bit hot (enough to make you take your hand away quick) but never worried overly as long as they’ve got a toc. Also the house rccb, where present, should act before it got critical.
Several times I’ve replaced toc’s which have gone open circuit presumably following sevral trip/self-reset cycles. You can get them as spares for some motors. Never had a subsequent call to say machine has caught fire! Hope I’m not inviting disaster.

PMP777 is a bog standard plaset bayonet fit but probably doesn’t have a toc. However, you might be able to swop the stators round if the old one has a toc. and is still intact.

Just had a thought. I’ve got a s/h zanussi stat of same size and shape which is marked NC39. If I check out which terminals are the 39, swop it for the 90 stat that’s in the machine then try the machine with the 90 button in. Seems worth a try. Anybody got a wiring/schematic they can lend me?

I think Dales might mean how does the housing/filter fit to the pump motor? Is it three screws or bayonet?

Connect part no’s are 5031687977182 dispenser housing £18.22, and 5031681783741 dispenser drawer £7.27. Retail’s only a tad more.

If you PM me your e-mail address I can send saved files probably.

Times are hard. And it’s all good fun after all. Anyway, I thought you did everything for £47.50 plus parts at trade?

Re: How to seperate sealled Drum

I looked at a WF541 the other day. It was just loose weights. It looked like the drum was clipped together in some way(?) but I only took a cursory look. I see the complete drum is available from connect at £69.55 = £80 incl vat. That’s not really tooo bad considering the work it saves. :duck:
Let’s say £120 all in and the customer’s sorted for a year or two, if the electronics hold out. OK, you’re giving them a fantastic deal considering the retail price of the part, but you keep the customer.

    Re: servis pump

The one on connect definitely looks like it has a toc. Best make sure replacement also does. Masterpart’s UN51207 for example. Ah blue spot; maybe ZN51102?

    Re: samsung j1453s

Are you sure it’s not P1453?
Do you have a Connect account?
P1453 is listed with exploded diags on mediator and drawer and housing are both in stock.

I gave up reconditioning machines about ten years ago. There was no money in it then. But I might suggest she has a look in the local auction on Tuesday.

    Re: T/Bx AW871 pnc 914280833 not heat.

EMW do a couple of recon timers which look like this for £34.90 plus the usual. And I could send it back if it doesn’t do the job. Might be worth a go.
OTOH, it’s quite a young customer living in an upstairs flat so probably no line drying so 1200 spin upgrade might be good. And she got the machine given to her originally so probably won’t want to spend much.
But then again, do I send her to Currys 😯 ? Not likely to stretch to an ISE.
Guess I’ll have to spend ten minutes giving her the facts and let her make up her own mind.

    Re: whirlpool energy reg

Googling the part no. brings up an e-bay shop called dar-rotherham. They don’t seem to have it listed at the moment but the link indicates £27.99. At least that’s a tenner less than Connect. Maybe you could get some universal type to fit? If you type “energy regulator universal” into Connect’s search box four in stock products come up.
