Sounds like 6205 / 6206. If it’s not the standard Lux large bearing spider (and it can’t be), you’re best just going for the drum or BER.

I would think that a likely candidate. You could try testing oven operation briefly with that bridged, if you can’t figure out the circuit.

    Re: miele w304

It’s dead simple. There will be one (new) or three (old) 10mm head bolts around door seal which come out. Then a screw or two each side at base of panel and/or a rusty awkwardly tight clip just below the filter. On old models take out soap drawer and remove screws behind. The front panel will then swing open (or lift away on newer models, like it would on a Bosch). And all will be revealed. Probably will all be down to the door seal being damaged by zips etc pulled across the lip.
    Hope that made sense.

Re: statesman/vestel wm bearings – which way round do they g

As long as they’re sealed ball race bearings and not taper rollers, then it doesn’t matter which way round.
Not heard of S3 but C3 is a measure of the clearance. C3 is a larger clearance allowing a bit more wobble.
You can find out all you need to know about bearings and plenty more enough to send you to sleep on the http://www.simplybearings.co.uk website.

Re: LG tumble dryer TDC70045E displaying EHE. Intermittent.

Just to round this off. Went to it a couple of weeks ago. It was about three miles away, in an isolated village, uphill most of the way. The ride seemed to go much easier than I had anticipated and I thought either I’m getting fitter or these hills aren’t so bad after all. Got to the house and leant my bike against the wall and it was then I noticed that I hadn’t picked up my tool panniers 😳 .
Luckily I had the essentials in my shoulder bag and borrowed a table knife to lever off the stuck heater cover, a torch and a hairdryer and managed to complete the job. Not sure what customer made of my, “travelling light” mode but she was pleased to get it fixed.
Just like a Hotpoint, water getting into the fan and getting sprayed onto element (where there was also a bra-wire) due to bit of crud in duct to pump.
So ten points for Grommit, er I mean Rolf :D.

Apparently there’s an exemption for re-use of parts from “de-polluted” end of life vehicles. So it’s possible there might be one for similar treatment of appliances. Certainly would seem reasonable to me. But I’m not serious about it, at this stage. If I thought there was money to be made, I’d just pay up for the ticket. You gotta humour these bureaucrats :).

That thought struck me too 🙂 . But he will eventually come to realise it’s just loads of people who want to find out if there’s any money to be made out of breaking old washers. (There’s actually a few sellers who are seriously trying that, e.g. “eco-appliance”. He’s in my favourite seller list and if he does well, I might try it meself.)

Not me! I’m saving my dosh for this. Just contacting the train company to see if they’ll mind me taking it on board. 😆

You too, interested then! I am surprised . Look guys, I can recommend “auctionsniper.com”. No need to hang around watching, just leave your best bid to be put on at last minute. Fantastic service, and minimal cost.

    Re: Hotpoint WT960 Dead

Have just returned from looking at a WT960. Report was blew fuse, fuse replaced, completed wash. Subsequently blew trip, restored power, completed wash. Then blew trip again mid-wash, now totally dead.
Got there, meggered it, found heater down. Disconnected heater. Restored power. Display came up and would programme fine but as soon as start was pressed, display went out and everything dead again. (All took a bit longer than it sounds because of cramped space, short hose, dodgy lino etc.)
Did not remember this discussion, so did not look at fascia plug. Just told her to call Hotpoint (still doing £99 deal?) as I didn’t want all the faffing around with the fancy electronics and then have repair cost soaring anyway.
Now wondering if I did the right thing.

It’s OK, Rob. If you look at his feedback you can see that bidders’ identities are kept private. So no one will know. 😆

What about a dodgy interference filter at the mains inlet?
