Are you sure? It’s embossed in the plastic on a single pole switch 😕

I’m not a great believer in stereotyping (although I’m aware I’ve already been guilty of it twice in this thread ).
So please take it with a pinch of salt if I say, social worker.

is the relay part of the pcb?
    John

Yes and it only costs about £1.50.
A black, or sometimes white, block about 20mm X 15mm x 15mm. Five legs go into the pcb. Easy to change with a small soldering iron.
If you’re interested in broadening your skills, learn how to do this, it’s fun and very satisfying!

Re: Zanussi ZDT 5053 – Dishwasher

Ah, that’s a tactile switch. They go wrong too but not normally in that way. Door lock switches on Lux are common failure though, sold in their hundreds on e-bay, and would be my first suspicion if it stops again. Just an ordinary 2-tag micro usually, but whole assembly is cheap and worth changing as it could be mechanical problem.

Could be on / off switch halfway gone, assuming it’s an electromechanical one. Ditto door switch. Would try them first anyway as easiest to get at.

:hmm: I like guessing games. Maybe 💡 that’s why I’m in this trade.
But …. I think we need a few more clues. Not too many…. just something more to go on.

Re: White Knight vented dryer – which belt??

Was kind of wondering how an old dear would know the belt had snapped unless it had fallen out of an open based machine; in which case I had been going to suggest that she measure its length.

If someone was really dishonest and had more than two brain cells, they wouldn’t stay in this trade long. There are far better opportunities available; in the banking and insurance sectors for example.

1956J3 is the longest I can find under white knight t/d on Connect. (BLT054).
    Next is 1897EJ3 (BLT209). They’re £2 / £3 each. Reckon’ those would give you at least a 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance.

    Re: IKEA D/W 11 flashes

I’ve got a strong feeling it doesn’t. Of 170 parts listed on Connect for this m/c, there is no mention of an OWI. A pressure microswitch, which often sits in the OWI’s location, is listed though.
