    The drip tray that sits on top of the compressor needs cleaning turn fridge off and carefully clean out all the gunk should solve the problem

    you certainly do things the hard way it seems that you have removed the drum and left the drum spider in place thats why its taken you 2 hours knock out the drum spider then you have access to bearing a professional would do the complete job in under 1 hour

    We need a model number but you will probably find the belt pulley is noisy userly removing and cleaning it will cure the problem if not replace it not expensive

    Power off when checking please

    Belts only come off if not tensioned correctly or if drum bearings break up so drum pulley does not run true sounds like lazy engineers (knowing this, easy job just change the belt, don’t care about recalls) just my view but I’ve worked with some of these so called engineers who just want to do there 10 calls and go home

    Sorry about me ranting but these Muppets give us all a bad name, do the job correctly no recalls and feel good when you go home a good days work

    Paul I would be interested in seeing the photos of the old Bendix, as they were the first washing machines I worked on 35years ago

    Can be a awkward job depends on the length of the wiring loom best to call a engineer try Repairs@ but if you have a go yourself power off first

    3 drums, 2 new bearing sets, 4 programmers, 24 new belts yes thats 24, 5 new motors, 3 new doors, 7 new control panels, 4 new pressure switches and 5 dryer timers, what ?? you have been very unlucky

    agree about Hoover and Candy but a good german built machine like Bosch Id go for but it looks like you have had trouble with them how about trying a Miele
