Sorry I didnt come back to confirm fix for dishwasher, it was the control pcb.
I honestly didnt think it would fix it, cos there where no signs of damage and all components tested okay.
But there you have it, you guys rock !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank for all your help and saving me the dreaded Indesit call out charge 🙂
Thanks so much !!!
For future reference u could always call your nearest repair centre for the area your situated.. or ask around, there is always someone u know who will of had dealings with a good repair centre.
Theres always a standard callout charge with major manufactures and from many customers own mouth they are quite high, sometimes half the price of actually replacing the product with a new one these days and a brand new 12 months warranty thrown in.
Agood local repair centre will more than likely in many situations be able to diagnose and repair your appliance for a good bit less that some manufactures actual initial call out charge.

ParticipantRe: AEG 72630 Pnc 91400209600
u could check the connectors on the board first.. tighten em all up and then test.. just means 2 trips if that dont cure it.
Ive had this happen to me on occasions… ordered lock only to find same fault once fitted.. tightened all board connectors and BINGO!! job done… not had any call backs from them either for same fault occuring.LJDomestics

wizard wrote:If the motor is turning at all then it’s unlikely to be just the brushes. Check it on the wash part of the cycle and see if it does the 5 second spin when it should be tumbling. If it does then its lost control of the motor, which will mean either pcb or motor fault. If it’s tuming normally on wash but only for 5 seconds on spin then it could be the brushes but more likely the pcb. My opinion, at 15 years old its done better than most and it’s time for the big scrapheap in the sky.
If i had a machine that give me 1 fault after 15 years of service… i would be “personally” inclined to have this fixed tbh.

I think its time it started getting stripped down and components tested… starting with your element.

ParticipantRe: Indesit Widl 126 – Lights 1-3-4 & lock flashing
without any clothes in.. can u fill it up on a rinse cycle… then stop it once full… and then try draining it..then report back.

ParticipantRe: Indesit Widl 126 – Lights 1-3-4 & lock flashing
Actually thinking logically about this now u got me thinking.. if it was to stop alien objects getting to the sump that would be stupid..as then obviously a pocket fucll of bits n bobs over time will make the inner drum fill up with coins etc.. acting like a wishing well..lol

The plastic ball is normally called an ‘eco’ ball. It can be found on most modern washing machines.
It is there to prevent the detergent being flushed directly into the sump hose where it tended to lodge and not get used efficiently or economically. 😉
Most machines fill with a small amount of water through the rinse valve first. This lifts up the ball or float to block off the sump hose. Then the fill switches over to the main wash valve to flush the detergent into the drum. 🙂
The filter is down at the bottom right at the front, behind the prise off kickstrip.
Jim.
Then i stand corrected! lol.. and have learned something here myself that ive never questioned ( the ball ) 😳 😉

ParticipantRe: quiet week
Ya know i have to laugh about this “free calls” scenario now as they getting more frequent, If someone rings me up now asking me to get in my vehicle…drive however miles it may be… spend up to a hour diagnosing a fault… then they say thanks but no thanks if its gonna be needing a expensive part… I am seriously thinking about saying ” yes no problem.. i will come..spend a hour at your house.. give u a free diagnosis at no cost.. but when im done… u follow me back to my house and do one hour of ironing for me for free” only problem is.. i will probably lose that customer for future calls because i can guarantee they will call me CHEEKY! 😉
