Unfortuanatly I had to take drum out to find hidden screw on front fan housing under drum, then slipped belt over front fan after releasing two motor fixing screws to get movement on front fan, Remember to screw down motor fixing screws and front fan housing in before putting drum back as there is no way you will get a torx screw driver in there even a stubby screw driver.
Took about 2 hours including coffee and talking to the customer..
    Made for Manufacture !!
No way made for repair !!

Remeber to quote accordingly for this job !!!

    Thanks Dave

I have both side panels off and front metal panel off but I can’t get the front fan top half of the housing off , not enough room, without removing the drum which I am struggling to do.
I can’t see how to remove the front plastic assembly, to flex the cabinet to slip belt over drum.,
There must be a easy way or something I am missing.

    Yep

I have read up on them and yes the compressor is getting lukewarm. I shall check for blockages and filters.

Re: Hotpoint oven SH33X Thermostat & Regulator

The temp dial for oven set to 200 C and only reaches 140 C. Thermostat clicks in and out. I have changed the stat. In the instructions it says its controlled
    Fan working fine.

    From manual:

    Starting the oven
    1. Select the desired cooking mode by turning the
    SELECTOR knob.
    2. Select the desired temperature with the VARIABLE GRILL
knob. See the Cooking advice table for cooking modes
and the suggested cooking temperatures (see Cooking
    Modes).
    3. When preheating is ?fnished, the THERMOSTAT indicator
light will stay on: place the food in the oven.
    4. You may do the following during cooking:
    – change the cooking mode by turning the SELECTOR knob.
    – change the temperature by turning the SELECTOR knob

    Thanks Dave

I have put in a 5V coil relay (instead of the 6V) and noticed the relay next to it, gets about 4.6V.
I need to trace the sequence of events to relise when the pump gets switched on, as I believe I may have been checking for the coil voltage before the processor drives the voltage to the coil.

    i shall keep you informed

    Yep !

Very common problem take them out and you will see there is no obvious resistance left in them.
