    Re: Thread hijacks

This is true K, however the individuals responsible should know that certain comments they have posted arent appreciated and stop them once this has been advised by admin and not keep going on about it and sending awful emails to other posters.

Like most users of this site, this behaviour infuriates me, however I feel the best course of action would be just to ignore it and i believe most of the members have enough sense to to this.

Helo 75 its saddening to hear that ure receiving such emails.

Its such a shame that there are such people who would use this site to make derogitory/ abusive comments to fellow posters. Most of use use this site to either request help or offer it.

Hopefully the mods or admin can help stop this.

    Re: Samsung RS21 NCNS

Unless a fault occurs with the unit, Samsung wont replace any parts, nor will they advise it is a design fault-as they have stated there is no design issues with any of the units.

As you are still under warranty with them any issues that occurs within the next 9 months, either call or email them to arrange an engineer.

As they now have twice as many service centres, it is unlikely you will have to wait over 48 hours for an engineer.

    Hope this is some help.

The unit is under a 2 year warranty from samsung

Any unit purchased prior to 01.05.2006 has this warranty. Anything after that is a 12 month warranty

As mentioned above, if the unit is under two years old-give samsung a call. the Plenhiem (evap cover)and thermal fuses are common parts so its likely that the engineer the repair is sub contracted to will be able to do the repair on the first visit

Sorry to here that dude, but in Samsungs defence they have just moved their parts warehouse to Amsterdam-hence the delay. Normally its a week maximum between the parts being ordered and the engineer receiving them

Just a quick note- to get a decent flow of ice and water its recommended the water pressure is at least 1.4 bar

Exactly……In fact Samsung arent all that bad. 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of calls they get are just queries, nothing to do with faults.

Just a tip-Samsung always need the serial number and the POP- you will be asked to send it to them if the SN shows the unit was made over two years ago. Also when calling you will be told to have the POP to hand to show the engineer. If you tell them you do not have a POP they wont even book a repair.

    Re: samsung rs20 f/f

There is no point asking for a new unit from Samsung-I have a lot of experience with the company and know for a fact that they will turn round and flatly refuse to replace the unit as it is over 24 months old. They are extremely strict when it comes to warranty periods on units. It sucks I know but that is the way that they work

Complain to Samsung? Nice idea but I will guarantee that they will not be able to do anything even if the appliance is under the warranty. The fact that a third party engineer has made a fault worse they wont touch it. You will get the usual ” We cover manufacturing faults only” and told to contact the engineer that originally came out to you.

Normally this fault occurs with the 24 month warranty-give Samsung a call and they will send an engineer to replace the evap cover.
