Man that’s a lot of work to achieve what?

Like the dyno beads, had them in bike wheels for years.

How the hell do they suspend a rotating inner drum ? The shaft from the spider has to go through the tank to the motor and that can’t jump about lol

The sensationalised stuff about your appliances stopping at EU demand is just the normal Dailymail anti EU crap is evil crap, I’m surprised they did not manage to blame immigrants some how lol

Its purely about load balancing, if you can manipulate certain things like fridges, aircon and certain heating systems to avoid certain times it could reduce potential blackouts and problems.

Hotpoint were trialling this a few years back with limited customers mostly staff a little box that was from Npower that controlled the FF cycles to as has been said in the article reduce load on the power stations at peek times I don’t really see the problem as it does not run any more or less frequent than it would do normally it just changes when it does so ,

The article makes it sound like it totally under their control, I believe its more like the unit it told to avoid running in specific time bands and calculates heat loss and works out when to run to maintain temperature waist avoiding those peek times.

    Make sense to be honest

I remember years ago I was working at the call centre for an Internet company with a TV set top box, (change of industry for a while ) on the technical side and had a call forwarded through, i did not speak with the person who forwarded to so did not have any details, gentleman called Norman he was and explained his problem, normally you would bring the account up on the system before doing anything but it was a smart card issue on the box and just told exactly what to do, lovely chap and got talking for a while about what he uses it for and what he does, he told me he was and he had been I the music industry for years , after a few minutes of talking about the area we were based in I hear a lady calling him in the back ground and he thanked my for my help and said he has to go, I just grabbed his account number and DOB and PW so i could add notes on the account and jotted them down and the calI ended, brought up his account and big VIP box comes up, turned out be Mr Norman Cook, could not believe it, top bloke though.

I believe it was to to with production of the 2 replacement control boards as its a different board on the fdw20 than the 60/65

I heard they could only manufacture 5k a month so they had to Wait to build up stock.

How true this is I don’t know but that came from an engineer, if that’s the case it would explain it as it would be far worse to recall and not be able to rectify the problem in a short timescale.

The way I have always done it is a call out charge is due on the first visit then If I have to order parts I deduct that of the agreed total, if they don’t want an repair then they just pay the initial call out, if its BER and a very short call out i even reduce the charge to £15 or £20 (normally bearings on a welded tank) regardless of if I order or repair I walk away from the call the first time with money.

    Every one is happy

So I guess they will ship all parts directly from Italy to the engineers, don’t see that being any cheaper ?

How often do there engineers get deliveries ?

Sad news for the guys though

Can’t really blame the customer as Bosch aren’t saying to stop using it

Clearly they need to review this policy, they obviously are a high risk a s need to be treated as such.

Its a specific timer problem fitted to those models between 2006 and 2007,

I believe its to do with a manufacturing issue with one of the connectors.

These models were the EVO 3 re released updated versions and are deferent to the earlier EVO 3 versions even though they are very similar.

Most likely the wash pump as they are common failure on these. Quite an easy job for a skilled person
