Sometimes has it with a washer drier, returned to do bearings and find its been drying for the last 2 hours.

And they just look at you like your mad when you say I can’t touch it.

Also it annoys me with FF. Its not working correctly so they unplug it 3 days earlier , turn up and have to try and see if it running at all or of if its a frost free all the ice that was likely causing the problems has melted.

Really gets your back up sometimes.

No not really Its bloody odd when they do this, as iv said iv seen a fee in the past, it like the module gets stuck and wont move on past pumping. what could be worth a try is filling the drum with a good half of water, start a fast wash and let it pump and leave it until it either throws an error or starts as normal.

Always been low margins in IT and phones , brother had a business for years and very hard to stay in business.

Making £20 changing a screen is not to bad though when an experienced guy will do it in 20 minutes though.

Iv seen these get stuck in pump out after having f05, even after clearing the blockage it still just pumps. The only way I used to get around it was to reprogram the module.

That clearly is NOT something you would EVER expect to happen no matter how much it is used or how old it is? It just should not happen……!

Why oh why does the subject try to parallel the motor car, there’s no possible comparison? Better to compare a spinning drum to blender for example? What if the blades on a blender flew off? Or the motor of a Dyson suddenly burst out of its housing? All pretty well impossible you would imagine?

Indesit have told their ‘skivvies’ to fit a flimsy metal bar across the top of the cabinet. Just a precaution in order to stop the drum and concrete weight from leaping across the room………..un bloody believable this should happen in 2013. What a bodge….!

Sorry Martin but calling their engineers “SKIVVIES” is just uncalled for. I was an HP engineer for many years and take offence at that, they have some of the best trained guys Iv worked with, hell a large number of independents came from one of the manufactures, its easy for you boys on the money train sitting up there on the ivory tower looking down calling the employed guys idiots because they have not gone self employed.

The engineers are doing what they have been told to do, regardless of what you think of Indesit and Beko its easy to tell some one to buy something better like Bosch but just look at the price difference. In most cases its double.

I agree they should not explode regardless of the fault but for £250 people need to start to realise that your not getting a long lasting machine. If use as per its designed with the correct load it should last a few years no problem. 7kg 1600 spin on a Bosch will cost you well over £400

    Re: Indesit washing machine explodes

The fact is these are £250 machines that spin at 1600 rpm and have 7kg loads capacity.

If you buy a machine for that money its life span by any reasonable assumption is going to be a few years at most when its doing 2 loads a day.

People seem to think that a £250 machine should last 10 years.

I went to look at an HP today that’s 14 months old. Bearing gone, I asked here how much its on, she told me at least 3 times every day, most likely 4 or 5 every day, she could not see this was a problem, she had spent £270 on this thing and expected it to last forever.

Its just not going to happen, Iv seen a load of 4 year old £200 machines with no problems but black seals, if they are looked after and used for the purpose it was designed for it will last a reasonable time.

All these machines affected are 3 years old plus, in not saying its rite they go bang but they are well towards the end of life considering what they cost.

As has been said I would not continue any dialog with them as they clearly have one goal here , by doing this they have no choice but to either submit a claim for damages via a court or sod off and i suspect that will be then outcome, they are just trying to pressurise you into a settlement. as has also been said I would also notify your insurance of the letters and explain the situation.

That is not listed in the recall and it used a completely different bit timer. That all look very much the same but there are quite a few different ones.

This particular issue seems to be around the heater connector on the board, the pink and white wire goes to it, there are 2x single spade connectors on the board and its the outer one closeted to the edge that seems to be the issue.

Yep as iadom says it can be done through the RH hole in the lower front.

Very fiddley still far easier than dragging it out.

Being honest if you look at the uk recall website the white goods industry is very good compared to the motor industry.
