I have seen something similar, all I did was reprogram the module. The Indesit EPROM files do seem to corrupt at times

I use an 18v dewalt with a Bosch cobalt 8mm bit. Takes about 4 seconds per bolt

    Easy as pie

Re: Removing torx screws from drum spider – Hotpoint

I normally smack them with a drift a few times before trying to remove them. If they are stuck drill the heads off with either a 8mm or 10mm bit, normally once you get a fair way in the whole head just domes off cleanly.

    No damage to innerdrum.

Do at least 3 of these a week this way.

If the drier is functions and the fan spins replace the drier NTC,

No real way to test but more often than not its that NTC, check all wiring to it and connections on both sides.

    Re: Indesit WD12x Interlock

The 194 lock has recently changed( last two weeks) to a new version that’s black and has a push release on top I it. The PIN numbers have also changed from 3,4,5 to 4,5,6

    Wire as follows 3 to 4, 4 to 5 and 5 to 6.

I’d be surprised if the knob is broke already. I’m guessing she is confusing something for drying as if its only half an hour I’d say something is odd. Personally I’d go look at it my self then if your sure its faulty call HP and book the call your self.

    Re: Hotpoint washer dryer problem.

That is not the way the work, drying is an option not part of the wash. 12 o’clock is off and their is no dry, Either the customer is confusing something else for drying as it would be a hell of a lot longer than 1/2 an hour or they are not using it correctly.

In reality very few band new machines are faulty. Obviously they had one but the chances of 2 is minute
Do you know the model ?

I would agree somewhat with the A & B category however you can’t always blame the engineers. With the modern electronic modules, linear pressure switches and digital sensors it almost impossible to test them, you have no choice to to take a guess basses on what you believe is the problem.

Iv spend a lot of time working on cars and most now use a CAN bus network system between all parts, every sensor and control switch can be on this network, a car i was working on last month had its steering volume controlled as part of the network and these had failed, its made diagnostics impossible with our specialist tools. Gone are the days when you could check a crank sensor with a meter or a volume switch for continuity

Manufactures have forced people into this position as much as the engineers have them selves. .

    Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis no water!

If its churning and not pumping away then you still have a blockage in the pump or drain hose or sump.

You need you check the sump first, then the pump again and the both ends of the drain hose
