Can you not trace it through with a meter?
They changed the orientation of the circuits through the connection block. One set of terminals is normally closed and this is the live circuit, the other pair is normally O/C and is the switch for the “Hob Hot” light.Lawrence PM me with your email address as I have a copy of the connections, not sure if its the same as what you need but it should help you to work out how to connect it.

We have all had em 😥 Once had a tart ask me to take off me boots and put a pair of slippers on before I went into the house, I asked if they were steel toe capped 😥 then told her I rather keeps my boots on as they were cleaner than my socks :rolls: sense of humour failure with that one.
I have customers with titles who are real gentlemen and ladies, even had a cup of coffee made for me by a Lord.
The real pain in the ars8s are the so called middle class that have got themselves there through fair means or foul, usually the latter, Merc in the driveway and nowt in the fridge :rolls: oh and don’t forget the blond gold digger if you need to see a right bit8hmaltheviking

Johnnyboy wrote:Sorry for hijacking the thread but the NTC would it stop the heater from heating? I know this soundsa lame but heater tests ok. PCB or NTC I thought, unless the heater comes complete
Yes faulty NTC’s can stop heaters working, if the resistance of the NTC is wrong then it gives a reading to the electronics saying that the water is hot enough, also some makes of machines advance out of the heat “stage” if the NTC is OC

i do work for a number of letting agents
constant work good money
noticed i wasnt doing as much normal chargable work
which is ok until the letting agents have a new manager and he wants to get a different company to do the work
so i would advise to try and get in with the letting agents but keep your adverts going so you still get average joe phoning
just in caseThere is nothing wrong in looking after the staff at the letting agencies, a few bottles of wine, the odd smelly candle etc at Christmas, keeps em sweet. 😉

Which has most future potential? My own experience is limited to Washing Machines and Tumble dryer repairs although I have dabbled with cooker repairs and some plumbing(installing washers)
As an individual you have to be a comprehensive engineer to survive in this industry, more strings to your bow as they say but this comes from training and experience not something you can just decide to do. I am bit puzzled to your questions are you talking about your own capabilities or are you talking about a management position?
Plumbing is a different ballgame to what this forum is about, albeit highly profitable for highly skilled plumbers, much the same for any trade.maltheviking

Of course, chasing a few bank chairmen, MPs and Whitehall Mandarins with a double barrelled shotgun would offer much more sport from a feathered point of view.
Being a dead shot, Brown and Darling would make a nice “brace”.
:p45:Wondered where my chin had gone 😉 rich I am not so sure
To many laws to prevent the rest of your suggestion but I couldn’t agree more my feathered friend, put me at the front of the queuemaltheviking

Dunno why you boys are mucking about with your Sly boxs, Ive
bought my own HD box (technomate) linked it with a motorised dish now recieve from over a dozen satalites. I have kept my basic Sly subscription, the card works in this box, all it takes is a phone call to Sly and give them the make and serial no. of the box. I still recieve Sly from their satallite but have to watch the odd live Premier footy match in Rumainian or whatever Simpelsmaltheviking

Cheers , everyone .Electrics off, front panel off, machine on it’s sides, long arms, brute force and ignorance, blood everywhere should do it. The nuts holding the rods to the drum are the most difficult part to change, until you have done a few that is 😉

Thats me 😉 as they have only just started using welded tubs I would have thought they will be around a lot longer, replacing the tub with the older type isn’t exactly improving the quality of these pieces of shyte is it? 😳

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint outer drums
Thanks Jim
Looks like the whole shooting match is different, shame really the welded drums a lot cheaper, over-priced at that :rolls: never mind it looks a good earner 😉 my customer wants me to fit one to her machine due to knackered bearings, she’s not interested in the 5 yr gtee. Might just keep one in stock then be light years ahead time wise than Hotshyte. Early bird gets the worm! as they say 😆
