I do not understand why EMW or QER will not repair these modules, I am sure it is only a sticking heater relay.

    Hi Jim

I am sure that I have had QER repair one of these boards in the past, if it is the board that I am thinking about, then the fault was a faulty transformer on it 😉

Why the extra paperwork and charge? 😕

Nothing personal Paul this is good advice for anyone, If you want to sleep at night then the minimum safety tests that should be carried out is at least earth continuity and earth insulation, I personally do earth loop impedance test’s as well, which has a 25 amp earth test, BUT this instrument can be unsafe if used incorrectly, always make sure that no one is in the shower or bath or any water when you test. If the house earth is poor then the 25amp may take a route of least potential, water pipes etc. 😳

All test equiptment should be regulary calibrated and given a suitable test certificate.

some repairs are so simple i dont pat test them like a washing machine door repair or replace or replacing a broken dial. a quick check with a multi meter from case to earth pin on plug makes shure its propely grounded. also checking from a screw on the side of a socket to a sink or pipe will show if the house earth is ok. ( or a plug in socket tester will do the job )

A loose or poor earth will not show up with a multi meter

Even a “small repair” makes you the last person to touch the appliance, I am sure if the shit hit the fan after an “incident” no judge in the land would side with you.

Sorry to lay this on a bit heavy chaps but feel free to give an opposing arguement , anyway who said a washing machine is a portable appliance

New metering tank required, the old one will be moulded to the sump.

It has to be cut off to fit the new one, you could try to flush the old one out but you will require a short length of hose and a coulple of clips to put it back, you get these with a new tank 😉

We get them an XBOX and sit them down playing violent video games, or watching Power Rangers kick the crap out something or other (I still don’t get that program at all).

Uh huh. So which option is the most damaging to the mental condition of your child then?

Sounds like they will be well qualified to be the next generation of domestic appliance engineers then 😆

    Hi Rob
I would have loved to help you, I used to shoot rifle and pistol, full/small bore until we had a gun ban after the tragic Dunblane episode, you should look out for local air gun clubs, they may be able to help, similar with the rest of your request.
