I don’t think so Tim though it fits in place by sprung loaded clips from the inside. There is a special plastic tool (00613634) to unscrew the lens but you may have to pull the oven out to release those clips.

I have several cashmere jumpers and I can tell you it is a definite no no to machine wash OR spin. Hand wash only and lay out flat to dry.

    Suffer on otherwise.

Apparently Whirlpool haven’t issued a ‘recall’ as the term implies but rather refer to it as ‘a safety notice’. Now TS have sought clarification and want them to issue a formal recall…….

IIRC in order to offset the additional weight of the decor door panel, and ensure it fits tightly against the door seal, the springs can be adjusted to increase or decrease the tension.

A classic case of bad installation and NOT a faulty appliance. It simply is NOT levelled properly. It is essential to insure the floor is level. 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it isn’t so the levelling feet in all four corners of the appliance must be adjusted to compensate. Likewise the decor door has to be carefully secured to the inner door avoiding any likelyhood of distortion (twisting).

So we have established that the fan at the back works but then you say the red light comes on then goes out and the oven cools down?

Slightly confusing I must confess. 😕

Re: Neff main oven not getting hot enough

You say “the fan starts spinning” but you may be confusing the cooling fan with the fan at the back of the oven? If you turn the oven on, with the door open, the fan should rotate and the heat from the fan element should very quickly blast out hot air. Does that happen?

You look up the model number of your machine then order the brush units from the shop on this website. It’s as easy as that. Oh and do avoid testing a motor like that as it is extremely dangerous. Refit the motor THEN check it.

    Stay safe.

As it is AC the current is oscillating back and forth slightly at a really fast rate. This is how current flows in an AC circuit and how the appliance is powered. The live wire carries the voltage whereas the neutral carries very little.

    Is this correct?

In both AC and DC circuits the wires transmit the current created by the load (the load in this example being a heating element). The live wire is ‘the supply feed’ the neutral ‘the return’.

I suspect your “boss” doesn’t truly understand electric circuits hence why you’re searching for answers elsewhere. I once had a boss like that and I was asking questions on how a refridgeration circuit worked. I realised he had no clue and I too asked others for answers and subsequently cooled his overblown ego.

So yes my friend, ask away.

Please don’t give up now, I’m sure together we can resolve your problem. Door lock light doesn’t come on you say. I’m thinking a wiring connection problem, the wiring harness connections, the connector blocks? Can you get another wiring harness? You haven’t mention the heater, they cause no end of erroneous errors if they leak current to earth.

    😀
