Well done then you as that rules out any potential limescale build-up that often plagues enclosed heating systems such as is in these Bosch/Siemens dishwashers. Having said that it is true to say that these machines are well known for there regular failings of their combined ‘heat/pump’ contraption. Its a good job it is covered by a 2 (or maybe even 5) year guarantee making it BSH’s problem and not yours. 😉

Be honest though Lawrence, they did get delivery, install and free disposal of their potentially lethal for the extra 50 quid. 😉

It is an exciting win win though for those now that have the chance of being a ‘2 dryer family’.

Re: Please help diagnose oven fault – cuts out when hot

Could be the safety stat. Trouble is the only way of testing that theory is that you will need to run the oven to the point where it cuts out then check the safety stat (aka TOC).

I must point out that in order to do that the power to the appliance must be isolated FIRST……!!!!

This is really good news as it appears that last time you were on here communication between yourself and your boss were somewhat strained. Now he’s talking it’s a good time to ask him for clarification over his comment. Like electrofix I too am at a loss as to what he meant by that. 🙁

4 years into the job and only now are you getting help with very basic electrical. 🙁

You referred to a multimeter in your last post. Have you also been given access to using an insulation tester?

    Ditto to that thought. 😉

Also get your customer to read pages 15 and 24 of the user booklet. It lends a little support to what we all know in the trade about OOB and how to overcome…..

As is always the case the two suspension springs and the metal shaft mounts twist out of shape. The tub then sits slightly at an angle and leans a little to one side. The only cure is to replace both suspension mounts/nylon cups/washers and shaft. Probably obsolete these days and a bitch of a job access wise.

Not a control unit fault I wouldn’t think and more likely the dispenser solenoid not working.

You still haven’t checked the insulation on that heater then huh?

Throwing parts at it won’t help much without first carrying out the elementary checks and earth insulation is a must do!

Re: Indesit 71452 eco Agressive washing

The detergent you are using is possibly reason for caution unless it is the bleach free variety? Ariel is an excellent choice provided it is right for the fabrics you are washing and the quantity carefully measured.

Your modern Indesit, like most competitors, has a very long winded and potentially aggressive wash cycle. Again you need to ensure the correct cycle for the garment care label is selected. Spin speed is automatically adjusted for the right fabric so reducing the speed to 800rpm is not a good move. Especially if afterwards you are putting the clothes in a tumble dryer? The tumble dryer potentially could be the problem and not your washing machine. Overheating and damaging the fibres?

Indesit overall are pretty crappy machines, it has to be said. But I won’t inflict my own bias on you at this stage because you said you had little choice in buying it due to the width restrictions. I feel your pain. 😕

Watch your clothes shrink as they gently rinse in hot water. 😯

Youv’e just got to hope it is the NTC on the heater box otherwise it could be main PCB woes. You’ll need a soldering iron to fit the new NTC if I recall correctly.
