New door seal is part number 00209982 and costs £22 direct from the Bosch web site. Fitting is best achieved by first immersing the seal in hand hot water or by applying heat from a hand held hairdryer prior to fitting. 🙂

My guess is that along with the very next update the price will ramp up accordingly.

    Replace the salt valve.

The brush that wears the most is the ‘leading’ brush and the other the ‘trailing’ brush. More power and strain electrically is placed upon the leader hence why, in the prolonged high speed spin cycle, it is the first to wear out!

NTC I would think. What resistance reading does it show at ambient?

Very good! I never get to see the ‘front page’ any more. Like most folks I link straight into the forums and never visit the rest of the site.

    Re: dryer fire risk

Firstly, I would surmise that Whirlpool are not implicated toward the 30 dryers you own. The recall modifications can be carried out by Whirlpool and/or their appointed agents to which you are therefore financially liable for the cost of the modifications being as they are regarded ‘technically’ as being part of your commercial enterprise.

    30 dryers, wow, quite a burden I’m thinking. 😯

That’s a good point, as in any event delta01 would have to stand the cost of both parts and labour for every one he rents out, blimey!

Let’s just hope, for his sake, he hasn’t got too many ❓

Triple glass denotes a self-clean (pyrolitic) oven is what you have there.

Ah I see nostalgia has broken out again. 😆

Another tip Steve in assessing the state of the drum bearings and its ability to spin , and before attempting to decide whether fitting clutch shoes is a cure all. Release the brake solenoid spring then rotate the drum by hand in the spin direction. Then engage the brake lever in order to stop the drum. The drum should rebound back an inch or three depending on how fast you rotated the drum. If you don’t witness any rebound then the drum shaft/drum support has issues and new clutch shoes won’t secure a lasting fix.

Remember to reattach that brake arm return spring! 8)

No chance of a conversion, different series, different wiring harness. Not the same at all my friend…..

    Now you’ll need a ‘plan B’ 😳
