Do you live ‘out in the sticks’ and your house is fed by overhead cables?

This is a fully electronic controlled oven if I’m not mistaken? Therefore if the element ‘blew’ it may well have corrupted the electronics?

    Re: Manufacturers Info

I believe the wholesaler Connect (aka CDSL) have a facility on their website to access certain manufactures exploded parts diagrams. ( at least they did do at one time but not being an account holder myself I’m not certain)

Bosch/Siemens/Neff stuff all available on line.
Beko, Hoover, Electrolux all available via direct account with each.
Indesit, Hotpoint, Whirlpool the biggest rip-off merchants charge a 6 monthly fee for access to their parts lists.

As for the rest, too much aggro so I can’t be bothered fixing them.

‘Oh ye of little faith’ as the saying goes. Think beyond the time stone age man invented the wheel and realise how technology has provided things today we never ever dreamed we needed at yet are now regarded as essential.

Digital technology in the home will soon be all encompassing. Your smartphone will have the ability to do far more tomorrow than it can today. All cellphones have sat nav, the power to access the world wherever via 3G/4G, soon enough 5G/6G ad infinitum. The power of your phone to check your house security, your car, your kids. Switch your heating on/off, lights on, check the status of appliances, and so on and on.

As for your white goods, facilities like : diagnostic reports of any faults encountered, programmable preferences and updates, energy reports, audio commands, security settings and such like.

Technology advances, some make good use and others don’t. It’s nice to have the option.

Direct from the Siemens spare parts website. They include the attaching bolts and instruction leaflet on how to fit.

If you go to other websites you don’t, bear that in mind. 😉

The new British made Ebac S – series washing machine apparently has Bluetooth control designed for smartphone devices. It will include a ‘talkback’ feature for visually impaired users.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

I have since learned that independent Whirlpool contractors are to carry out the modification irrespective of other faults. They should report those faults in writing to Whirlpool with a copy left with the customer. The only time a modification in NOT carried out is on those dryers that have the old style straight edged drum. Again noting this information on the relevant form.

This means that anyone contracted to carry out this modification work WILL be fully remunerated. 😀

White goods repairers doing maths? Someone at Qualtex might just be taking the p i s s. If they offer a Scrabble game next month then it’s confirmed.

Did you change the module because of a no heat fault?
    What error codes came up?
You should have readings of 10.5? and 21? across the heater terminals?
10K? and 20K? across the Heat pump NTC at ambient.

The engineer was only there to carryout the mod and would only be paid for the mod.

Ah! That’s one thing ‘the video’ was at pains to stress from the outset. Safety testing and inspection of the machine before work is undertaken. Clearly that wasn’t done in this case and therefore the guy, who idiotically continued to do the mod, wouldn’t be paid.
