Oh there was power enough to run the pump, in fact the customer told me it was stuck on spin for over 2 hours just pumping! So the supply was OK until extra amps was required, then the black lead in the socket started to arc….I tightened the screw and away it went 😀

Email your pictures to me Millymog and I will post them here straight away if you like?

Incidentally, another thought crossed my mind on this. If you take the baskets out and leave them in bright sunlight, they will turn white again. Only snag is that you will need to wait at least til next spring for strong enough sunlight…but it will work…honest! 😀

Press and hold in the first and third programme buttons for 3 secs whilst the machine is on will clear any error. If it doesn’t then the module is faulty!

    Very true… 8)

I’ve been to fix several machines at the Sonning on Thames home of one Mr Uri Geller. You couldn’t wish to meet any-one more self-centered arrogant and irritating as him. Mind you, I must give him credit, on the only occasion he was at home when I called and we met face to face. He clearly had the ability to read my thoughts as I have not been back since 😆

Apart from that I’m not ‘name dropping’ any more as there’s ‘wall to wall celebs’ round here, none of whom need to access this site in order to get their machines fixed 😀

    millimog,

Would this be a pertinent moment to enquire what conclusion you may have reached as to the source of the staining?

Was it as some have suggested, the “Spag Boll Scenario?” a “Maelstrom of Magnesium?” or perhaps “Sub-standard Soap Suds?”

….or have you been hoodwinked by all the ‘Law & Litigation’ claptrap into believing it must be the fault of the dishwasher and you are just deciding on who to sue the pants off?

Be that as it may, and in the interim, you may be interested to know that whilst I personally have never ever come across any make of dishwasher that has turned pink as yours has. But I have a customer in Wokingham, Berkshire who’s dishwasher turned a beautiful shade of flourescent blue! 😕

That turned out to be a chemical reaction between the iron sulphide in the incoming water supply reacting against the liquid detergent they were using at the time. 🙄

Since I recommended they switch to using a powder instead, the blue has faded almost totally (except the lid of the dispenser for some reason – but it does look better in blue anyway) 😀

Re: Bosch WFO2865UK not draining or spinning

Also the corrogated drain pump from pump to drain is prone to blockages and restrictions. 💡

If you think the pump is running OK then try this :-

Run a simple test by setting the machine(without washing in) on a “Rinse & Spin” cycle only. Observe how long it takes to empty the moment the pump starts? It should have all gone within 120 seconds, if its longer, then your drain hose is crudded up !!

Error code E1 can be several things, most commonly it is drain time-out. (Check sticking Sump Ball, pump etc) followed be Heater fault = stick a new one in if in the slightest doubt? Gunge in the air bell another common touch and also the inlet valves can play up and give E1.. 😕

cornflakes wrote:float sticking..are we talking internal float if so is it servicable from inside cabinet?

Sorry pal but looks like you’re going to have to drag it out. 🙁

The safety float is accessed from the base only. The level magnet of course is just under the filter which can be taken out and cleaned (put it back in the right way though 😉 )
