    Richard,

Don’t assume card faults at this stage, instead check first the state of the element and that the air chamber is clear!

If you set the machine to do just a “Rinse & Spin” will that operate correctly I wonder? If so I reckon the “card” is OK πŸ™‚

Re: HELP! Indesit W123S continually fills with hot water

If the hot water inlet valve inside the machine was faulty, then it would fill whether the machine was on or off!

Filling continuously whilst the programme is running suggests a programme based fault I would think? However if your problem is resolved simply by turning off the hot supply, then leave well alone as the machine perform perfectly well with just the cold connected.

(unless that is you wish to select a 90 degree cycle, then it may be a problem as it would need the hot water switching back on)

Can I also suggest you consider changing your ‘local supplier’ to an Internet based company that will suit your business with greater efficiency. Not finding basic Creda parts is unforgiveable for any company worth their salt after all πŸ˜‰

Indeed so Dave, simply remove the motor and take then out very carefully (paying attention as to which way they go back πŸ˜‰ ) if they are short and the tips blackened and not shiny?…then they are duff!

Replacement brushes are available via emailing you requirements to: spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

PULL THE PLUG BEFORE ATTEMPTING ACCESS :zap:

Better still, get a local expert in to do it for you, and it won’t be costly either πŸ™‚ Just click this link:

Thank you Richard for recognising the first part of that statement, however I have to argue a little about the tail end of it. In as much as some things have been achieved at least, well, kind of anyway!

As you go on to say “it is a club” and that is the core and hopefully the strength we can gain from it as the months go by. OK so UKW Ltd has lots of things going on at the moment, but we Subscribers can do our own thing in tandem as long as we keep the faith and bang our heads together once in a while in the hope of inspiration.

Alex reminded us quite nicely over its very original concept of being a “Slush Fund”….that, gentlemen is what we have! Lets keep it and let it grow.

Meanwhile if, at any time, one of you gets a flash of inspiration, then for Christ’s sake tell us here and we will have the wherewithall to do something about it (or at least stand in judgement over)

Meanwhile can I ask Kevin* to put all that money into a high interest account…so we can at least accumulate whilst we speculate πŸ˜€

*Love your new avatar by the way Kev πŸ˜‰

    megawatt,

You may recall my reply to you via a PM request you made yesterday as follows:

Meanwhile with the Creda W100FW I guess possibly the wiring from Timer to Motor is suspect?

I am sure others will lend a hand with your problem, meanwhile I have ‘moved’ your question appropriately into Trade Technical Enquiries πŸ˜‰

eng14 wrote:as i am on the list of repairers

You are listed on their Richard, it’s just that you happen to be on the end of it! πŸ˜•

The Repairs@ system at present leaves it to the customer to choose a name from that list, unfortunately in an area covered by several companies, as in your case, you may lose the odd call to someone else? πŸ™

Now if that call isn’t taken up by ‘the other company’ the system will not pick that up. It falls on the customer to re-access Repairs@ to choose another and so on πŸ™„

The system is fully automated and cannot be monitored or interrupted manually, therefore the odd call does indeed slip through the net 😯

Easymove furniture sliders!….made out of strong plastic with foam rubber pads…perfect for those soft vinyl floor coverings that easily tear when you move the machine. Slip these under each foot (set of 4 in pack) and slide away!!!

Available from http://www.lakeland.co.uk (type in Furniture Gliders in search field) πŸ˜‰
