    Bryan,

I think the WD63P only had a FHP motor anyway, so 1601888 should be what you require 😉

Ah! That’s what I figured and I have several copies of the market research form in question as it happens.

Far better would it be for that same market research company to produce a questionaire (in postcard form) for customers to fill in and post 💡

For them to telephone my customer and question them for “about 10 minutes of your (their) time” is not the best way to get a response and I personally would not wish that on myself let alone my customer. 🙁

Therefore the pre-paid postcard the better answer (and a darn site cheaper for the research company too – with a better guaranteed response percentage I reckon)

Forget the before & after video idea reference by the way (for now at least 😉 )

    Welcome to the site 🙂

What model Zanussi do you refer to, as most brush terminals either exit to the side (l or r) or below?

Ken, could those forms be based on the ‘before & after’ video that was presented so well at the last UKW meeting on that subject?

    Yes Tony

It likely is the brushes mate, or at least associated with trouble in that area 😉

Change the brushes (ensure they slide freely in their holders by the way). Megger and check continuity of the motor and the motor plug leads. That should sort it hopefully?

Whilst you may have misunderstood the part about scrap parts (or possibly are reading an earlier version), I value and respect your sentiments as to how you run your business, and that’s fine 🙂

However, as Dave pointed out the need for you to consider increasing your Public Liability cover. I must add that reading throughout the clauses within the UKW Members Charter, there is nothing within them that would not be implemented by any business as a matter of course anyway. It represents nothing other than acceptable guidelines for trade members to be willing to accept in order they may be allowed access to the lucritive extra business Repairs@ will give 😀

Can’t be a bad idea to reconsider 😉

That model does in fact have 2 black plastic covers that have to be removed before accessing that area anyway, but I get your point about the doorswitch isolation. 😉

We will have to wait and see what transpires on this issue. All I can say is that at this stage Peterborough Trading Standards Officers will have by now knocked on Indesits door and asked certain pertinent questions over the matter.

    Watch this space 😀
