ParticipantReplacement of Neff 41B30X2/01 Induction hob top
They refer to Ottoseal S70 and each sealant you see listed are the different colours depending on the countertop colouring. (Buy sealant from the web not BSH as they put a 200{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} mark up.)
BUT if you read the installation instructions you will see that they say NOT to use any sealant according to the illustrations on Page 24. It just clips in.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers
I’m just trying to figure out the logistics here. It seems that 5 weeks is the turnaround time. 200 + fitters swanning around the nation doing 10 or so each a day. Each carrying 15 pressed steel back panels as minimum stock holding. Further supplies for the next day’s toil stacked under the stairs. Parcelforce calling daily with more backplates and seal kits, leaving ‘out cards’ through the letterbox.
Fabricators in Italy working overtime pressing out 1000’s of these panels. And lorry loads of them dodging migrants trying to jump on board at Calais. Containers full of parts 10 deep in the car park at Peterborough.
All this chaos turned around every 5 weeks…. Brilliant!

Miele it is then, a tad over budget but by going OTT you’ll get the 20 yrs reliability you want. And yes, you can get the parts and DIY if the need arises in that time.
Sub £500 nooooo!

Which would seem to be something you think is fine in light of your comments.
I’m a realist Ken, fully in touch with today’s trends by what the public demands. In this case demanding split tubs, I appreciate that. Though that demand is from a tiny, fractional minority. The vast overwhelming want cheap, cheap and even cut to the bone cheaper.
It’s NOT fine by me, nor will it ever be given my vast experience over 5 decades in the white goods trade. But what has happened over those decades is that ‘technology’ has produced a product that satisfies public demand in both price and functionality. Sadly the upshot of that is that those products HAVE become ‘throwaway’. And that is where the manufacturers have complied with the current strict recycling guidelines in producing a throwaway product where ‘technology’ yet again triumphs in that best part of 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} or more can be recycled into clothing, insulation products and even carrier bags.
So, in the light of these facts I figured it out and I stand by my comments. 😉

ParticipantCan I drain Bosch t/d into standpipe
Not a pumped system this model so not possible to connect to a waste pipe.
All this information is readily available on the Bosch website anyway. So you can save a hell of a lot of the time using the mouse click. But hey!

What is your hang up about sealed drums Mr rustyspoons? Your engineering background instinct is very laudable however you will also know how poor electronics are all part of today’s appliances. In the vast majority of cases with washing machines they have ‘electronic system issues’ long before the bearings fail.
Apart from that the heater, the fill mechanism, the drive motor and drain fail or wear out just as quickly. So by the time the bearings are shot the rest of what’s left is a time bomb with an irrational fuse anyway.

A call round to take off the panels and look for cooking rodents on the compressor?

ParticipantRe: Function switch
The moderators would be first to point out that Rule 8 of forum rules prevents the issue of wiring diagrams. Perhaps you could elaborate more clearly as to what problem you have and we will try to help. The switch chart positions you illustrated are all too obvious assuming the chart and the switch you refer to are the same of course.

Participantworth setting up a graded appliance shop/repairs/accesories?
The glory years of graded appliances has long since passed. The advent of cheap appliances bought on-line put an end to that. Not sure the current demands made by the good people of Liverpool but elsewhere it has waned.
Spares selling likewise dominated by on-line retailers. Profit margins down to the bone marrow.

Look further in the installation instruction illustrations Sue and you will see items 13 fit under the items 6 on the decor door. Item 15 fits on the plinth under the decor door. 😀
