ParticipantRe: hoover classica dryer dead……….please help!
mel,
Too many options that could give this same fault I’m afraid. Door Switch? Timer Control?On/Off Switch? :con:
There are several models in the Classica range also?
If you would like an engineer to check it out for you click here…

I use one of these continuity testers and have done for years now, they are brilliant…..and cheap to buy……!!

No, but if the red button is a rubber grommet inset in the rear panel it will need a firm press in its centre.

Have you firmly depressed the red button then tried it again I wonder?

Ken,
Patience my boy :lesson:
I know you’re straining against the leash a bit on this one but as John says, once the holes in the coverage areas are filled it will be a totally different story 😉
We are promoting it like crazy right now as you know, and Joe Public is reacting very well indeed and possibly beyond what you ever imagined at this moment in time. If those trade members out there that don’t sign up then sod ’em!
But having said that, if you do know of any specific Postcode area that does have a trade member and yet he hasn’t signed up it might be an idea to post in the “Repairs@” thread a headline something like “Work in BM goes begging!” to see if you get a response?

ParticipantRe: Repairs@ Module
That sounds about right as a good number of ‘potentials’ come back on the forums saying no-one listed in their Postcode area 🙁

Shades of….“how many service engineers does it take to change a light bulb?”.…spring to mind here 🙄

I would go along with that sentiment, but add that ADMIRAL is another brand name used by the Maytag Corp, so it’s the same product 😉

Yes!….but not without the model number as there are hundreds of different Omega 1100’s 😥

U GUYS CRACK ME UPfunkyboogy,
We are indepted to you sir for your frank and open appraisal of your present employer, British Gas. Thanks also must go to you for your help regarding certain technical publications we may have since acquired through your generosity.
Indeed should I have been fortunate enough to have had the technical back-up from The Indesit Company at my disposal, I may well have been able to share that knowledge with you and help in the matter of the errant Ariston in question! Sadly that is not the case and I suspect the problem will have to be dealt with by yourself in the way that we in the independant service trade are faced with at this present time, namely by taking a calculated guess at the conundrum 🙁
Do please also take heed my respected colleagues here on UKW who have taken the time and replied so eloquently in their many postings in the fervent hope you may take to heart their sincere advice.
May I conclude by wishing you and your British Gas colleague Arch every success in the future, ( by the way,I hope British Gas didn’t manage to spot your email addresses lest there be any repercussions 😉 ) for you as a Trade Member it is hoped you will continue to enjoy the many and varied facets this website can provide, it’s such a shame we could not help you in this instant 🙁
