ParticipantRe: Another! BoschWFF1201GB/01 FD7609 Washer
Malc,
Dunno mate, I have never ever needed to change a Timer on this model as the main faults are either pumps, heaters or blocked air bell (according to my 34 records of the exact same model that I have fixed)
It certainly sound very strange and I think I would make the same conclusion to be honest 😕
You did megger that heater AND thermistor didn’t you? They can lead you a merry dance if overlooked 😉

Mmmmmm 😕 I haven’t checked that entirely I must admit BUT, if there were a problem in that area, why would it work OK throughout all other parts of the programme? ( INCLUDING the intermediate spins during the rinse cycle – which all work sweet as a nut)???
Dunno :con: , but will keep you posted.
Tschuess!

Nice one Geoff,
Neat bit of info there from you and thanks for that. There is hope then after all.
Timer you say? Did you refer to the 094413 Control Unit by that?….Just to clarify?

Do please tell me you are pulling my leg on that one :rotl:

David,
You asked the question of us but clearly decided to take the washer/dryer option anyway….ah well 😯

Good!
OK next step …DO PULL THE PLUG ON THE MACHINE FIRST OK :plug:
At the back of the machine you will see a cavity and a black rubber hose, carefully remove that hose from its fixing. Then try to blow up the hose to check if it’s clear (I suspect it will be blocked?)
If the answer it yes  , then take the top panel off the machine (2 ‘Torz’ head type screws hold it on at the back, remove those, slide the top panel backwards to remove). You will then see the other end of that same black hose fitted to a nozzle coupling, attached to the water tank housing. Carefully remove that nozzle with a screwdriver (or whatever…no force required) and check to see if it is clear???
I suspect it’s likely to be blocked and therefore THE PROBLEM  Before refitting that nozzle and after you have refitted the hose at the back, just blow down that hose to make sure it is also clear all the way to the pump chamber 🙂
Refit the nozzle, and the top panel, plug the machine back on and test it out. The panel lights should indicate all is well, it should also rapidly fill up the water tank to a point that after less than 1 minute it will fill up and need emptying. Empty it, turn the machine back on for another minute, empty it again and so on perhaps 3 times in total.
Sorted!!! (Hopefully…If not I’m sure you will comment 😀 )

David,
From your posting it’s clear to me you have at least thought this out or at least are well into ‘the next step’ 😆
Don’t consider a Washer/Dryer unless you are stuck for space (seperate dryer always better/quicker/cheaper). Your Zanussi is a beautiful machine with no current equivalent (except most Miele machines that is) But I for one would suggest perhaps a BOSCH WF02466 as a pretty good piece of kit and would likely last you 10yrs plus!!!!!!!
So there 🙂

OK!
I have calmed down over the problems I had last week on this. It is going well as far as Google and Co are concerned, enough at least to cause ‘rumblings’ shall we say.
Can I please ask therefore, please do try to add anything that you ‘feel’ the public should know on the subject. I from time to time (with your approval that is?) will ‘slip in’ the ‘odd’ fact in order to give them a hard time.
Fly on the wall????? ……usually we splat them anyway don’t we????
Least in this case we will if I have anything to do with it 😀

It’s normal Malc
It fills on hot valve only on Prog 1 (on temp settings 60 degs and above) then advances to 3…the heating phase 😉

Steve,
In all honesty sounds like your in for a hiding for nothing on this one 🙁
It could be that the motor and its controlling module are not the best of friends at this stage. Motors are the usual troublespot, and it would need close inspection for a start.
Drum bearings are another possiblity, again very suspect. Always check the filter regularly and the pump also one to watch.
How old is it (What is its ‘FD’ number ) I wonder???

Oh dear oh dear! That is terrible and I must say I feel guilty for giving you his phone number if he couldn’t figure it out :con:
OK here is the good news……It is easy to fix (yourself) and I will tell you how ….OK
First of all I need to ask a quick question…..Please drop down the front access panel, and remove the condensor unit (that has the 2 blue latches) Pull that unit out, then put your arm into the cavity, reach to the back and tell me if you feel a puddle of water back there???????????
Don’t do anything else at this stage, just please reply
And its not essential but best to PULL THE PLUG FIRST :plug:

Having received the test sheet from Geoff (roly16) I am no further forward :haier:
The machine works beautifully all through wash and rinse. Fills, washes, heats, drains and spins all fine and lovely. As I said before the darn thing is immaculate and rarely used in spite of it being 11 years old 😕
The test sequence showed no fault anyway but on close observation on the final spin it pumps out for 5 minutes, advances to the next stage (presumably distribution spin) and then the error lights flash as good as on Blackpool Pleasure Beach in October. Namely the 1200, 900 and 600rpm led’s flash in unison and alternately when they go out the 1400rpm led flashes and so on, for ever! It just sits there like a deranged disco deck 🙁
Trouble is these test sheets and sequences are suppose to tell you whats wrong but invariably they themselves are just guessing :con: . For example, if the 1400 led flashes all by itself the official Test Sheet Diagnosis concludes that as meaning, and I quote… “Various Faults!”
So it’s back down the snake to square one on this I reckon and the fault is as I thought before either the Programme Module or the Control Unit or the Power Module……..anyones guess?…lets toss a coin eh?
You got to hand it to Bosch though to be fair, diagnosing a 1400 led flashing as being VARIOUS FAULTS is a masterpiece of German understatement…(nice one Hans!)
VORSPRUNG DURCH TECHNIK ?….ich weis es nicht! vielleicht er is kaputt ich denke :rotl:
