Donny,
Most likely you will need a replacement ‘Thermostat Kit’ (Part No 4812 259 28681) and may well be available in our “Shop@” shortly?

Good Heavens!
Thanks to Marks observations I realise the same problem I didn’t know I had with ad blocking on this site 😯
Having switched off the block I can now see the logos/ads and that brilliant ‘Mobile Toolbox Avatar’ on repairs@….quite extraordinary 😕

Ant,
Sounds like it to me, obviously if you set any programme and start it and the door fails to lock then yes, new Interlock (Part No: 1604781)

Alan,
Indeed repairs on these are a bit daunting to say the least. I would advise it worth having and engineer to take a look inside for you 😉
Check in our “Directories” listing to see if we cover your Postcode area 🙂 It may be that the dryer condensor ducting needs a good clean out after 6 years use and the water level sytem needs a look into also.
Should not be a big job either

Postman delivered the Test sheet today  Unfortunately it’s the wrong sheet, they sent me a Condensor Dryer Test sheet instead
So for me that’ll be another hour on the phone to Bosch on Monday I expect :haier:
🙄 Oh if I could only borrow a Bosch CD for half a day, my lot who be a much more happy one 🙄

Diatribe? Not at all, more of an eyeopener and a serious problem at the very least that needs an urgent concentrated approach from all of us that can or may do something about it.
And yes, whilst the likes of me and Chris (penguin45 that is) are not directly involved, collectively we can join in and are just as concerned, I can assure you 😉
NEGATIVE PUBLICITY against BG is one way (and IMHO – the only way) forward that I am presently working on, which may help at least to sway public opinion and perception perhaps. Bearing in mind that BG have the financial backing way beyond any of us could, can and will ever match. They will always pay higher wages than you guys simply to get staff on the payroll. Their income from Homecare policies must rake in millions, so they are on a different level after all. (D&G surely must be small fry in comparison)
Needs some serious thought 😯

Owain,
It’s probably your PC then at fault :con:
Time to upgrade from a 486 using ‘leaded’ Windows to something more up to it perhaps 🙄 (Only joking, I hope you figure it out ASAP )

You’ll get a slap if you’re not careful young man…behave :lesson:
Yes a bluetooth earpiece, stuck in my ear all the while, even behind a washing machine 🙂 The advantage being that I am hands free enough to be able to talk on the phone whilst taking a part out a young womans prize kitchen implement. ‘Look no hands Lady’ when running up the staircase, tools in hand trying to find her fusebox……
…Oh yes mate!…the virtues of Bluetooth for someone with my years of experience dealing with these problems are priceless in the extreme.
Modern technology? old dog? new tricks???…BRING IT ON:lol2:
Oh and John, Thanks for the explanation on the Car Radio….Neat
Mind you, I will have to save up now for that ‘must have’ piece of kit on my lowly income, wife to support, 4 cars, villa in Spain, etc etc, all have to be paid for first you know before such luxuries :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: cd/radio/bluetooth car kit
Great piece of kit John, just one problem though IMHO 😕
When you use Bluetooth its an earpeice, now in order to be fully mobile (not only in the van but behind a w/machine) you need it stuck in your ear…right?
So, when you get back to the motor, you then have to switch it off and set up the radio to take over the hands free business…correct?
5 minutes to your next call, turn off the radio, turn on your earpiece!!!!
By the time I’ve done all that I could have done 2 extra calls and be home for tea :lol2:

Well the On/off switch thing will just cause the indicator lights to flicker and die usually, and you can ‘feel ‘ that the switch is dodgy as you press it ‘cos it doesn’t feel easy and positive to engage. Cheap to replace too!
I think you have hit the nail on the head so to speak on the water inlet pressure possibility  Is the (cold) supply that bad then? Not mains pressure or what? (National standard acceptable water pressure should be 1 bar (14psi) minimum – average usually should be 1.5bar)
Inlet valve coils going intermittent also well known fault 😉

Owain,
Ad-Aware as Clive says is a must for all in all honesty, so download their latest to help protect your system. Are you on Dial-up or Broadband I wonder? Window ME can also give these probs, not enough memory on your PC also of course.
Finally as Dave says…Browser setting??? Try running Mozilla Firefox as a pretty neat browser, that may sort it 😉

This is a more serious problem than I thought judging from Johns experience alone, and something we should at least try to address in whatever way we can collectively.
Now I take on board your comment Ken about not being right for us to start this public thing from within. How about I get one of my customers to post their BG Homecare experience then to start the ball rolling so to speak. (Thinks…just hope she’s on the Internet for this to work 😕 )
I will also work on your other suggestion on the “Poll” thing but I don’t hold out too much hope there on that having any success really eh in all honesty judging by some other polls we’ve run ❓
It’s THE GOOGLE EFFECT I am after (by the way you can use that phrase from now on if you like 😉 ) by that I mean, if you look up BRITISH GAS HOMECARE on Google all sorts of crap comes back at you, including the BG Webpages http://www.britishgasnews.co.uk/index.asp?pageid=45
BUT if we had a load of comment on the subject from this site, I’m sure it will get top billing, and therefore discourage new customer signing up!
Worth a go eh?
