As if by sheer coincidence, my toolbox is RED so I guess I well qualify for the odd repairs@ now
Proof if proof were needed, take a look…………..

scotport,
The problem is likely a sticking flood protection device or there is an internal leak causing the device to trip. It is a relatively painless exercise to get an engineer in to check it for you, not that costly either. 🙂
Prior to that, you may like to pull the machine forward sufficiently to allow you to tip it backwards at an angle of some 45 degrees or more. If the floor tray is flooded then a small amount of water will pour out from underneath (have an old towel handy to mop up 😉 )
Do make sure you pull the plug out first :plug:

ParticipantSmileykeef wrote: Can you advise if the pipe should come out the top, the bottom or side of bottle, as there seems to be no obvious “right” way up.
Sorry ❗
I for one am totally confused as to your situation right now 😕
Now on the “bottle” question, you should fit it back into its tub hose fixing with the outlet pipe almost uppermost (or as near as damn it considering the limitations of space available!)
You have checked and taken the pump apart? Checked the sump hose and its ball-valve unit?….Bear with me on this……Is the drain hose connected to anything or will/can you see it clearly discharging into a sink/bowl/bucket or whatever when it drains???? Also…If you set it on a programme (say 4 for example) will it fill OK and STOP filling a short while later?
If the answer is YES! then please turn it off, set it to 10, hit START and tell me what happens…………………. 😯

It is very interesting you brought this up Mark ‘cos I have a similar Norton set-up (2003 in my case) and when I go into “Norton Internet Security” from “Start” I can then go into “Ad-Blocking” and stuff as Dave mentioned earlier, switch in on/off or whatever 8)
Now, within that option, I can BLOCK Pop-ups and/or ad-blocking. In my case opting just on the Pop-ups allows me to see the wonderments of UKW in its entireity. What then concerns me in this case, and the reason I replied to this post, is that suppose ‘Joe Public’ has got the same Ad-block on his PC/Mac…? then it is likely he will not see the ‘Mobile Toolbox’ that is E-jobs??????? Therefore would’nt it also be a good idea to have the text below that avatar as a ‘Hyperlink’ (eh.Ken???)
Just a thought 😀

Nicole,
We do have a problem here in that your “CESET Motor” can also have 2 variants of Motor Brush and I for 1 cannot be sure which it may be. 🙁
Can I therefore suggest you take one of them out and either photograph it and send us the picture (via email of course) OR go to your local spares supplier, place it on the counter and ask for a suitable replacement
Clearly that is the problem with your machine anyway 😀

Smileykeef,
Your pump is blocked….that’s all 🙂
Strip and clean the pump, refit it and BINGO!!!…end of problem 8)
Promise me first you will PULL THE PLUG though OK? :plug:

Geoff,
Really good news and thanks for your help 😀
Sadly my fax programme does not want to play ball so I wonder if you could either post a copy to me (see my www for address) or possibly even scan it and sent it me as an email??
Sorry to put you to all this trouble 🙁
I wonder also if you have any thoughts from what I have written as the likely fault? (No – I won’t hold you to it but have you got any hunches?)

Neil,
I think now from your elaborations 🙂 that the problem is possibly not the motor at all 😀 . More likely a flooded base plate due to a blockage in the main sump/meter tank hose ❓ .
This really is NOT a DIY fix and therefore it would be incorrect for me to say further on that other than to advise getting an engineer in to sort it.
Do check out our “Directories” section and pop in your Postcode 😉

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS6032gb/14
Oh dear 🙁
It could well be the main motor is jammed (usually followed very quickly with a burning smell)
You are sure it does actually fill with water though, have you seen it in the tub??
