    I have to admire your tolerance. Many would have demanded a new machine or their money back by now. I have to add that this machine is extraordinarily complex with all the various ‘systems’ it operates. The more ‘bells & whistles’ the more to go wrong as they say.

    It could be a main control board fault? Is your machine under 2 yrs old? If so contact Bosch for them to fix it.

    Have you tried meggering the machine (as a whole) once the interlock operates?

    No it’s a tumble dryer Andrew and you will need to remove the front fan and thread the belt through and onto the motor shaft.

    Try looking up 00447455 as that is the substituted part number.

    Rats eh? Yuck! I bet they’ve got inside the panels too and chewed wires inside. Be sure and wear protective gloves, you don’t want to go down with Weils disease! 🙁

    Oh I see, much like ‘a nod’s as good as a wink to a blind man’ sort of thing you mean? Or perhaps not so much a recall as a mod to the rear bearing if you get called out to repair a dryer is it?
