Juliet,
I strongly advise you to contact Indesit and get them to inspect and repair your machine under the guarantee. It is likely in this case that the main Control Module Board is at fault which would otherwise be a costly repair 🙁

Mike,
F10 is a water level control fault and F01 is a likely motor fault. Beyond that I’m afraid we cannot advise other than suggest getting expert help. Check our “Directories” listing for someone in your Postcode area to check it out for you 😉

ChrisR,
I wonder if you have asked the same question through the DASA Members website? In truth I suspect many of your fellow members are facing the same dilemma and are seeking answers to similar questions.
As a non member myself I have no questions to ask of DASA and no reason to give them my money either.

Dear Mrs P,
I feel the time is right (and in the light of previous testimonies from fellow associates) for me to explain the reasoning behind our “fish-consuming colleagues” prolonged dedication to this website….in that…..
…….He, selFISHly, and without due CODsideration to others in this PLAICE, hoped he could HAKE time out to PRAWN his assets and CRAB you a new washing machine on the NET….!!!
EEL be along later to explain more, I expect,…… SEA you soon!

Then please simply count the rapid flashes before the steady flash and that will give us a clue as to the ‘possible’ problem 🙂

jimmymac49,
Before you go to such a bother, how about answering my querie regarding the Model No and PNC No??
I am sure we can fix you up with a Control Knob far cheaper than your quote???

AMS,
Very interesting post Dave and thanks for letting us know. As a regular (almost daily) user of said substance and its many ‘pattern copies’ I was surprised to read some comments I must say.
Not having sprayed WD40 into a motor or Ignition Button myself, However I do sometimes spray into timer cam switchgear and heavy duty relays to effect a cure. Regularly rinse away carbon dust from commutators (before wiping and cleaning with a com stick!) with no adverse effects. Spray around mechanical push buttons that have been otherwise stuck by spilled coffee and hundreds of other examples of its many uses.
Oh yes, the distributor problems where well sorted with a squirt every time! Never saw the need to spray into a cooker box though 😆

Many of the earlier series of AEG’s have two knobs (Timer Knob/Thermostat Knob), both of which are identical, so you can switch them over if that will solve the problem?
Just a thought, however as Dave suggests, do give us the full model number AND the Product number as well (usually 9 digits long)

Fair enough! Well that’s all you can do DIY wise, time to call in us experts to take a look inside for you. 🙂
Go into “Directories” to see if there is one listed under your Postcode 😉

Huw,
The Door Hinge Kit is part no : 2502931 but at around £35 is more than ten times the value of the appliance.
If the door is falling off, time for a new fridge mate 🙁

It tells me that it is almost 7 years old, so way past its best 🙁
Just try one more thing for me, pull the machine forward then tip it backwards 45 degrees to see if any water leaks out from the floor tray ❓ Have a towel handy in case it does leak. 😉
PULL THE PLUG FIRST THOUGH!!! :plug:

ADM,
The fault is definitely caused by a lack of water flow/pressure rather than a heater fault as a rule. The heater is only likely to fail if you persist in using the machine in a hard water area without salt 🙁
Whatever or wherever the fault is requires a strip down, beyond the usual ‘DIY Tips & Fixes’ I’m afraid. What is the FD number of your machine I wonder?
