    Seamy,

Quite a mixed bag for the error warning (L1) but here goes, it could be either: –

    The Tap OFF
    Water pressure too low
    Aquastop device activated
    Anti Flood Device
    Pressure switch blockage
    Water flow within IWMS
    or Drain hose syphoning

    Hope that helps

Re: Creda electric Cooker Faults Mod No 49128 ??

Thanks for the Model number…… 🙂

It is very likely the Control Switch to the Rear R/Hand Hotplate is at fault and I would imagine that as the oven is around 7 to 8 years old, the Grill Element must have gone rather than its switch control?

Elements are usually the first to fail 😉

No I’m sure your correct 🙂 Ah! so yours has the latest Infra Red Gizmo then? Not being conversant with those I cannot advise (best leave it for others to help out on that score 😉 )

I know with these ice making machines however, they can take an age to start producing ice, however I would have thought 3 days long enough. It would probably be best for you to contact Whirlpool Service Department for advice, certainly by day 5 at least 🙂

Is the ‘sensing bar’ in the ice bucket in the downward position? ‘Cos if it is in the upward it will not produce ice 😉

I don’t believe it does 😕 In some ways the “MFI Summary” is somewhat contradictory to the IEE Statement Dave posted above.

I was assured by a ‘spark ‘ friend of mine (very much in the know regarding Part P) and he says it will not affect putting in an extra spur coupled to existing ring mains as indeed it states in the IEE statement (quote) “Adding socket-outlets and fused spurs to an existing ring or radial circuit(e)” (end quote)

    No worries… 🙂

portal wrote:Is there any fridge/freezer that will work?

    Portal,

Most freezers will be perfectly happy in a garage or other unheated outbuilding. However a Fridge/Freezer will not simply because the ‘ambient’ temperature can get less than the internal cold setting of the fridge compartment. So therefore it will not work below that temperature 🙁

However, if you heat the room to ensure it never gets below that temperature, it will work just fine 🙂

    Re: BOSCH SGS3042GB DISHWASHER

Tricky one to diagnose from the information you have given as it could be one of several things that first need checking out 🙁 All you can do yourself is to remove the fine filters and take a look to see if the drain sump is clear of debris.

You could also pull the machine forward sufficiently to enable you to tip it backwards at an angle of say 45 degrees, to see if any water leaks out (have a couple of towels handy 😉 ) If water does come out then you need to call in us experts. Perhaps you can get back to us after checking those items ❓

DO BE SURE TO PULL THE PLUG FIRST!!!!! :plug:

    Re: Revenue Report

Easy guys on this thread, the input so far is without question BRILLIANT 😀 .

But let us please all agree at this point in time to simply COLLATE the ideas and not to be too hasty by trying to INFLUENCE each others thought process. 😕

Just keep it going for now OK? (For example Penguin45 intimating that £5 is “too cheap” might be OK for a rich guy like him, but for an old git like me out in the sticks, it’s a kings ransom)… 😯

    …..only joking…. 😆

BUT, just keep the ideas flowing, invest our stash for now and let us discuss ALL the suggestions at the next meeting in great detail, pass on the conclusions and so on.

Carry on……..as you were, forgive my interruption 😆

    isoosi,

This model of Dishwasher is not available here in the UK. I suspect therefore you are also not in the UK? Sadly, I do not know the correct ‘reset’ procedure for that model because of this 🙁

Please try looking over the Bosch website for your country and maybe you can get an Instruction Book that way

    Mark,

I would suggest calling that engineer back to check it out. The work he did should carry a years guarantee (the norm in the trade). It is likely that it may need further attention in that department I suspect 😉

You can download an instruction book by checking my posting under “Instruction Books” within this forum.
