    Long,

The drain channel may well be blocked and overflowing. It should have a drain hole in the centre or end of that channel attached to a hose leading through the back and onto the compressor. 🙂

Unless you live in Australia (maybe 😕 ) the Dispenser is otherwise called a ‘Soap Drawer’ (Some Aussie machines aren’t fitted with them at all) and that soap drawer could be blocked and splashing over and down towards the porthole door (making you think the door is leaking)…Just a thought 😛

Maybe they are had they seen the job to a successful conclusion? May I enquire how much their quote was to do so?

Re: Bosch Maxx WFL2066 – No motor movement

Your presumptions are correct in that the motor does rely on a 230/240 AC supply directly to the 8 way ‘motor plug’ from the circuit board. I am not in a position to tell you which wire goes to which on that motor plug and I cannot advise or recommend you checking it either. 🙁

Going back to your original situation for a moment, you say the motor suddenly stopped turning? Now as I previously stated, it usually means that the brushes are worn down completely (less that 8mm long and the end blackened and no longer smooth) If that wasn’t the situation in your case then I am sure the motor is fine

Therefore you can likely assume the main circuit board is at fault (Part No: 268118 cost £104.53) and is not repairable in any way I’m sorry to say.

Beyond that I cannot help you further and recommend you call in the experts.

Re: Bosch Maxx WFL2066 – No motor movement

The relay clicks you’re hearing could well be the reverse tumble action supplying power to the motor during the ‘wash’ part of the cycle 😕

If you set the machine to spin however those same relays will click only for a short period of time prior to the continous spin sequence begins.

I wonder why, when it took the engineer just 2 minutes to diagnose a motor failure why he didn’t fit a new one to prove his diagnosis to you? It’s your option NOT to have the repair completed after all 🙂

I can assure you that Bosch circuit boards are not repairable no matter how deft you are with a soldering iron 🙁

Re: Bosch Maxx WFL2066 – No motor movement

In almost all circumstances the motor not turning is simply due to worn carbon brushes (Part No: 154740). I have never encountered (yet?) any other motor fault with this model. I would be surprised if the windings were at fault and as long as you have continuity through all terminal connections (including the internal thermal fuse link 😉 ) and that the motor plug is in order, then it should work 😕

Some machines can have Control Module Board failure that would stop a supply to the motor but that is very rare and is usually accompanied with an ‘error’ signal on the front panel.

    Fred,

Its likely that the fault is indeed associated with the heater unit, still think you have got the model number wrong (should possibly be TV630001)
However best get someone in to check it 😉

Re: Washer/dryer – clothes hot, but soaking wet

We do not condone the last post by suggesting one simply lifts the lid to gain access, although thank the postee for the observation 🙂

We do however recommend that washer dryers be serviced occasionally ONLY by an experienced person, such repairs are NOT a DIY fix!
