    To be honest no!

For what it costs I would recommend calling out a local engineer to take a look inside. Various components need checking out overall and it’s best left to the experts to be honest.

You have tried your best but go the next step and save yourself the frustration eh?

No the pump should be fine, no problems with the rubber valve at all. Sounds as though your system is working just fine then 🙂 BUT I guess you are still getting Error Code E15 after all this then are you?

    Paul_G,

It sounds as though it is the water Inlet/Safety Valve that is the problem? Possibly the ‘water block’ on it has cut in due to an overfill situation??

The likely cause of this is a blockage in the ‘water metering tank to sump hose’. Take it off at the metering tank end and blow the blockage clear 😉 ( 😆 No sucking now or you’ll be sorry 😆 )

Disconnect from the mains electricity before any repairs though!

Just pull the pump to tub hose off when you’ve got it outdoors!

Re: another ariston margherita 2000 problem

    craigh,

The problem is almost certainly a blockage in the pump (coin, button etc) Now depending on the model machine you have (you didn’t say?) The pump will need to be looked at first. 😉

Usually it is located behind the plastic ‘kick panel’ at the bottom front of the machine. Remove this and your getting close, but remember to switch off the machine and unplug it from the mains first!

To drain off the excess water beforehand, simply lower the drain hose into a bowl or bucket and gravity will do the rest. Beyond this? If you need to ask…go ahead…

Re: Hotpoint WM72n Error code e15

    Master,

Please refer to my previous comments on this subject (above). The error code refers to a ‘Pump Time Out’ error. If one replaces the pump, cleans both pump inlet and outlet hoses and check the drain coupling, I am certain the error will go away 😉

The references to ‘Pressure Switch’ should be disregarded, as failure of that device is extremely rare to say the least 🙂

Using too much detergent will also cause this error as the pump creates ‘suds lock’ and times out because of all the froth. Ease of on the powder, tablets, liquid or whatever a simple cure.

    Cleat,

It is difficult to establish at what point they actually stick. “Mid-cycle” could be anywhere really 🙁

The most usual problems with these is pump blockage in sump, pressure chamber to sump hose blockages and timeouts caused by drain coupling problems 😉

Hope that gives you clues, but fix it ‘on site’ ’cause’ that may be where the problem lies 😉 Never waste time and money “taking these in” 🙂

    Zola,

I am sorry to learn of your problems, Merloni do seem to be in a bit of a fix at the moment 🙁

If you can help with our ‘survey’ please can I ask you to Post your experiences within the following link: –

    viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1502

Merloni do read these stories, so hopefully something will get done to relieve your situation 🙂

Nah! I get standard 2 part pre-printed ‘Repair Dockets’ from : – http://www.nebs.co.uk I just checked my last order with them and the cost per copy after ordering 600 was 19.8 pence each!! So not cheap eh?

Those ‘Twinlock’ plastic ‘registers’ invoice/repair dockets are slightly cheaper at 13pence each but I don’t like using them, too bulky etc.

Bl**y ‘ell, I believe someone recently worked out the cost to get an engineer out to each call at around £23. Based on those stats that equals a staggering £186,300 lost by the trade 🙁 Strikes me someone needs to pull their socks up and go on an efficiency drive 🙂

    Re: indesit we16 strange fault

    Jpd,

It will almost certainly mean a bad connection between the main Control Module and the Motor (Connector block contacts) OR the Relay within the Control Module at fault???

Other factors could be Motor Brushes, Pressure Switch contacts etc. Not an easy fault to diagnose accurately without checking out all these really 😉 And certainly not recommended for unqualified inspection 🙁

Is it not covered by a 2 year warranty so you can call in the experts??

gUESTING wrote: However not all of the contacts on the pressure switch appear to change state (normally open/normally closed) when a small amount of air pressure is applied.

The Pressure Switch in this case is only a ‘single level’ switch (3 contacts = open, closed and common). If it were blocked or faulty the machine would ‘overfill’ and flood. Is that the case I wonder then, but it certainly would’nt give you a E15 error code if it were faulty 🙂

Fair enough, point taken, we all have so many and varied formats of stationary I agree, not possible to make uniform in this instant except for out cards…..put me down for a box then, they should last me out 😆
