……and they will tell you that you have to prove categorically that the goods left your shop in perfect working order. That you must prove the customer did not take sufficient precautions against transit damage. And prove they didn’t instal the appliance correctly. So good look with that!

Let’s hope that in the meanwhile you aren’t also being sued for flood damage to their property.

Ah the joys of flogging secondhand goods. A minefield of mixed emotions, and in my experience looking back fills me with dread the more I think about it. 👿

Ask them to return the machine to you for a full refund. Then and thereafter always insist on delivering the goods yourself to your customers this avoiding any repeat.

I can only find one basic diagram for that model (you didn’t provide the full PNc number ) but check this one out…..it’s a bit faint, but then E/lux aren’t exactly a guiding light anyway…..

Re: New vacuum cleaner to replace 16year old Sebo C3.1

Sebo suction power is not compromised because of recent restrictive legislation on motor output power. Manufacturers were alerted on the regulations long before they came into effect and Sebo’s vacuums have been upgraded to provide sufficient suction power as a result. Many local suppliers are all too willing to demonstrate.

There’s either a break in the leads between the control unit and element OR (more likely) the heater relay on the control unit PCB has failed.

It must be so depressing living in lee8’s world. Everyone and everything is up against him. He’s been there, done that, knows it all yet offers no help or solution. Nothing phases him, nothing surprises him, nothing yet nothing can get past his all encompassing gaze. He is all things to all that is wrong in his single mindedness.

It is hard to imagine what more he can give to the trade that would be more pointless. He is our own, our very special, once in a lifetime petty minded insignificant.

Fitting a new tub seal is the ideal solution. If re-using the old seal is your choice then we in the trade use Debor adhesive. Silicone sealant best avoided as, until it is left to dry for at least 12 hours, it can break down in direct contact with water.
