Oh I see the spirit of Conan Doyle is alive and well in you and no mistake.

If you have been following the concept of Ebac’s break into the washing machine market from the outset. Then their research led them to realise the public were seeking a machine that had a hot and cold fill. They questioned 1000’s of potential on-line customers as to what they wanted in a THEIR own machine. The result of that feedback was conclusive, hence why they are reintroducing a hot and cold fill range.

Years ago car manufacturers stopped fitting spare wheels in car boots. Instead they put a can off squirty gunge. The idea was to save boot space and no doubt the planets polar bears by making just 4 wheels and not 5. Sound economic and moral judgement no doubt. But the car buying public weren’t happy, they demanded one more wheel on their wagon. Today many manufacturers have listened and reintroduced the spare wheel.

Let’s hope it doesn’t suffer the same fate that your LG machine did.

Looks like pink coloured dye from a wash cycle gone wrong. It ain’t fabric conditioner IMO.

Check the plug top and wall socket. Symptoms would indicate a mains power failure and a dodgy wall socket arcing is commonplace.

The combi boiler would deliver hot water as and when required and make economic sense, especially so with multi-load wash cycles. As for the enzymes not working when hot water is applied at the start of the cycle, can that really be the case, have detergent manufacturers stopped making the stuff?

My Bosch WFS 3010 (hot fill) does a fab job at 60 degrees and the cycle is done inside 50 minutes. My other machines (cold fill) take more than 2 hrs 30 plus plus meaning my tenants have to forever go to the local shop to reload their leccy keys just to do their washing. So an Ebac with hot fill may make sound economic sense for all combi owners.

Why would anyone in their right mind shell out 150 quid to repair a Hotpoint anyway?

Re: Candy Grand Evo error 04

Disconnect the air hose at the pressure switch end, select programme the shut the door. If the error instantly clears then the air chamber (part of the welded tub) is blocked. If the error doesn’t clear then the programme module is faulty.
