Sounds like a posh area you’re in then and no mistake. Spares prices are a lottery for most of us and ordering non stocked spares for your customer can often cause upset as previously mentioned. But ultimately your price is your price and if you are happy with it then that’s all that matters. If your customer doesn’t like it, point them to the exit.

Have you checked the aqua stop valve?
Is the heat exchanger matrix not filling within 60 seconds or so? Have you checked the outlet valve alongside the salt valve? And no it doesn’t have an Impeller Jug so I don’t know what parts search you are looking at but it’s probably not the BSH one.

Stating the obvious I would think my friend. To be more specific perhaps you could enlighten us with the make and the all important model number.

Re: Smeg SCP495X-8 Electric Oven light blew, now no heat.

No simple pointers we can give on this. Oven lamps blowing main control boards are commonplace with various makes including Smeg. Selector switches can also have fused (burnt out) contacts when the lamp or heating elements blow. I fear another costly fix is coming your way. 🙁

Bypassed safety devices and bodging switches doesn’t sound like good advice to me Dave. I would venture to suggest the moderators delete your email address for safeties sake alone! 🙁

The board cannot be sent away for repair to anyone. And a new one Shown HERE is a tad costly.

From the back. A very simple fix with easy access but beware sharp stainless edges. New elements prone to earth leakage. After replacing the element it is best to remove the earth wire on terminal block and run dryer for 5 mins before reconnecting.

Was thinking maybe the door switch might be faulty? Any thoughts?

If all it takes is to press the start button and NOT the door then I wouldn’t suspect the door switch.

Then it sounds to me you’ve changed the wrong valve. The ‘outlet valve’ (00166874) needs changing and that is the one on the right of the ‘salt valve’.
