    Re: Washers and landlord tax

Integrated washing machines, dishwashers and fridges are fixed behind and therefore part of the kitchen furniture. Washing machines can be raised on plinths and behind kick panels. Dishwashers and fridges are often screwed firmly to the kitchen worktop or carcass. All appliances hidden behind matching decor panels and deemed, quite rightly as part of the fixtures and fittings. Hence the amended tax regulations.

That’s a shame because the way forward these days is door shut for grilling. Better controlled, even heat dispersal with no spitting and acrid smoke spilling into the kitchen. The days of open door grilling have gone the way of a cooking pot dangling over an open fire having spent ages getting a flint spark to light the kindling. 😉

Thanks for the warning Ken, it may just be a rumour but may just prevent someone being ‘put in the proverbial’ by a firm that goes tits up. 🙁

Is there such a thing as a reliable induction hob? Come on, you’re in the trade and should know how flaky and vulnerable modern electronics are. The watch word in the trade (of the wise) is AVOID (or suffer like the punters do) 😉

Later type Bosch/ Neff/ Siemens dishwashers

I would doubt detergent overfoaming an issue, not on a full sized dishwasher like this. Rinse aid possibly but not detergent. The tub seal, as Paul said, is a recognised problem and THE most likely IMHO.

In your workshop test you could overdose the detergent to prove a point. 💡

Domed float anti-flood safety switch problem of some kind? Something jammed under float? Styrene float dislodged? Pump chamber cover not secured properly?
