    I’m not sure why this would come up “mid-cycle” as usually it signifies that the dryer condenser is clogged to buggery.:(

    A modern freezer will fail and be scrap material long long before the wire baskets wear out!

    There is no such error code as E7 on a Hoover Optima. E07 is probably the only possible error code given and from what info you give would suggest you need to check out the Door Interlock. 😉
