I find around 3pm’ish is the best time to ring them.

Only that if it is total power supply problem the whole machine rather than just the display will go ‘dead’. And the power light will at least be on even if the display goes dead meaning there is a connection prob with the display.
Customers reports over the phone are often way off the mark anyway. Too much DRAMA and not enough rational fact! 😉

You can’t get it to turn on? Have you checked the wall socket? The plugtop fuse? Fed the coin meter?
For further help do please give us the model number of your appliance. 😀

ParticipantRe: hoover W/D E12.
I think you may be looking at the earlier error code list (or maybe Ken’s error codes app?) which doesn’t relate to the model you have. The illustration below is relate to the model you have…..

I love reading this stuff, it is such an uplifting outlook you have and well for you Phil. The spirit of white goods is not dead after all, yet! We’re not doomed it seems, there’s old duffers refusing to retire and still banging in the bearings. 50+year olds pondering over the future and with little option but just hanging on in there. Those that have succeeded in building up their small empire with hungry engineers wanting a days work each and every day, constantly watching which way the wind is going to blow tomorrow. Others that just want to eek out another 2 or 3 years before getting a weekly pay check from DWP and their maturing private pension fund.
….all good entertaining reading.:D

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZDC 37200W no heat
If the heat switches off after 20 seconds or so from start up EVERY TIME then you can rule out the main board ( and the relay on it) as the problem. If the heater relay on that board were faulty then it simply wouldn’t behave so consistently, if you know what I mean.
An error code will show if a component (heater, thermistor etc etc) goes faulty and that is indicated by the start LED flashing alternately red and green. It’s a 2 digit code, count the red flashes for the first digit, then green for the second. A faulty thermistor (aka NTC) for example will throw up error code 72.
HTH? 😀

ParticipantRe: AEG 16830 Door issue
No bigger issues just a poor contact that can be sorted with a new connector. Give me the full product number (PNC) of your appliance and I can look up the part number of the new lead if you like.

Did you not sort out the burnt connector block then?

Profyaffle wrote:So we’re talking Board fault then?
I wouldn’t say so. If the board were faulty it wouldn’t recognise the error in the first place! More likely a break between the tacho and the board or a spurious earth leak perhaps?
