That’s the error codes for the later Optima series using the 3 phase motor. This ones a Nextra model with a brush motor.

Check the pump filter isn’t blocked. 💡

Pretty standard size by the sound of if. You can always pull the fridge out then measure the space (HxWxD) to be sure of finding a suitable replacement.

Matching the existing outer door panels to a new F/F will be a little more of a challenge though.

Has a neoprene rubber seal between the front and back tub halves. All comes out the front to access. Have fun! 😀

I would think the board is stuffed otherwise the pump would not fire up unless the door interlock allowed it to.

There no internal fuse for starters. The only certain way to be sure the PCB is cooked is to take it out and inspect it. 🙁

It doesn’t have to be the exact time.

Yes of course. I’m suggesting that the display board is the problem.

You wouldn’t need to mess with the wires in order to change the door handle. That aside it very much sounds like you may have blown the control unit (aka PCB)?

These wires you refer to, were they going to the door microswitch from the on/off switch? And did one short to earth against the metal door?

    Re: JTM struggling?

I think Bryan may have misunderstood what I said? Let me put it another way from what I have heard tell….

0800 have always supplied parts for 0800 chargeable jobs. They also have to provide JTM warranty work with their spares. If JTM is struggling, as I think they might be, having lost Argos work and their Sheffield outfit also rumoured to be closing maybe as a result. If JTM were to fold (only supposing) then engineers will still have to pay 0800 for the spares.

    It’s just a rumour 😉

I would think the opposite applies. The power module clearly recognises that the display module was disconnected so that would rule out the power module.

That model is in fact the easiest to fix. Simple access underneath. Both the Impellor jug and PCB are cheap (the PCB rarely fails on these anyway) I’d say the heater the most likely suspect in this case.

This may go landfill but if you get chance to check out another then they are no problem. It’s the latest plastic base models that are BIG trouble, believe me! 🙁

DDA wrote:Can anyone help me with the best way to source service manuals

Generally by being a service agent and having access the their web site to download .pdfs and such. Otherwise you have to ask nicely here on UKW for information AND possibly manuals( if you are lucky) specific to each make and model. Then store that priceless information on your hard drive for future reference.

Over the years I have stacked up quite a lot of guff using that method. (Though I don’t have any Samsung stuff, in case you ask).

The rule of thumb for starters is post a thread in Trade Tech asking for info for a specific make and model. Someone out here in the ether may spot your plea and help you out.

That’s news to me then Bryan. All I know it what’s listed for that model (and most Hoover/Candys stick to the same error code format)…..
