    Hoover HNWF washer dryer f12

It doesn’t nor never had an NTC. Error 12 is a connection error between the 2 boards. And bugger all to do with NTC’s 😉

If that were the case then the spray arm wouldn’t rotate as they should. On these only one spray arm rotates at any one time don’t forget as it has a water point fitted.

Water pressure forced through the heater by the circl. pump and operates the bellows that operates the microswitch. No flow then the microswitch returns to its O/C position.

Yes it is included with the heater. Also the safety stat, NTC and water point diverter included as one complete unit.

The compression gasket differs between the two so don’t fit the one you have as chances are it will pop out like a willy out of Y fronts. 😉

Gotta confess that I cannot help you with that. I gave up fixing Hoover rubbish years ago. Best of luck anyway. 😀

The door seal should be 92130962. It should have an L shaped profile and is clamped but not glued in place by the top and side gasket ‘holders’.

Service manuals once were in book form though long since obsolete.

1 min to go indicates a ‘time out’ for whatever reason. Fill, Drain or Heating? The three most likely areas to check out.

It’s a water inlet flow measuring device, cheap to buy, easy to fit. And it looks like THIS 😀

diy_johnny wrote:I fully accept the instructions are there for a reason and I am happy to follow them but instructions contradict each other. Neff say on the phone that it has to be hard wired yet their own documentation state “or the appliance must be connected using a plug with an earthing contact”.That is the 3rd time I have posted that quote and yet no one here has still given a reason why NEFF gave conflicting statements (as it appears to me),

You are correct in that the two instructions do indeed contradict. And I am lost as to what Neff’s translation is of a plug with an earthing contact. But perhaps and because Neff are a German company maybe their German/English translation of the installation instructions is incorrect and for “plug” read “outlet” maybe?

Irrespective of that potential ‘typo’ error collectively we agree at least that this appliance should be hard wired to its own dedicated supply source. You had the good sense to contact Neff and they themselves confirmed this. So alls well that ends well.

Besides that, and going back to those rather confusing instructions for a moment, you couldn’t even adopt the “plug with an earthing contact” method as it also states in the following sentence “This must remain accessible after installation”. And as you mentioned earlier on, that would not be the case with your installation would it?

duncreggan wrote: One last question (as I am a newbie to connecting dishwashers) on the fitting sheet it said to “remove disc” from water inlet to machine.

Dear oh dear, have you not got the installation instructions then? It clearly shows the disc that is often fitted on drain spigots. NOT the inlet at all but the Darin outlet…! (See enclosed drawing)

duncreggan wrote:Also there is a strong metal clip within the gadgets can you please tell me what that is for.

Oh dear, time to spot that too on the drawing below. Fits on the drain hose if you use a drain spigot outlet. Tut! tut!
