Error code E10 means a filling time-out. It is taking too long to fill with water. If it fails to drain then that is error code E20 and you need to check the drain filter first.

ParticipantRe: Siemens Dishwasher Hydrosensor – no heat
There are generally two reasons it is not heating. The most obvious being the heater unit (part no 00488856 – costs around £75 direct from Siemens) OR there is a dry joint of the heater relay terminals on the control unit PCB. The latter a simple fix with a soldering iron the former a major strip down to access.

ParticipantRe: Bosch washer dryer
The ‘Start/Reload’ function only requires the lightest touch so maybe that is the issue. Other than that intervention not to be recommended and best contact John Lewis for a fix under guarantee.

,Oh blimey, so to see this out you might have to adopt Bosch’s very own ‘throw parts at it ‘til it works’ technique? 😕
Start with the very source of the ‘no display’ problem
and replace the Display Module I would suggest.Martin

Oh how I remember the first time I saw John Cleese’s film ‘Who Sold You This Then?’ That was 42 years ago and this thread brings it all back. All you youngsters (if there are any in this trade?) that haven’t seen it best do so by going onto YouTube and check it out. :rotfl:

Ignore the spin control Fase, that is not the problem here, honest. It has fuff all to do with the motor not turning. 😉

It does click from one setting to another though if there is no motor action whatsoever that control has no bearing on the problem.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint dryer
Not looking good for the Module then I guess. Still the electric company would foot the final bill if a power surge was proven to be the cause.

Connecting lead from motor to module probably has broken at the motor end? If so order and fit new lead is the favourite option rather than trying to reconnect.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint dryer
Only if the dryer was plugged in and switched on during that power outage or possible power surge?
