You’ll need to do more than that and check the sump hose isn’t restricted in any way and that the air hose and chamber attached to it are also clear of the dreaded ‘gunge’.

Check for a blown triac (small black square device) on the PCB.

First thing to try is to check the drain filter is clear. Use the drain tube to drain off any residual water first then carefully unscrew the filter cover anti-clockwise.

As long as the thread of the welded nut that forms part of the subframe (the bit the foot screws into) is OK then re-aligning it not too difficult. You just need to purchase a longer bolt from an ironmongers with the same thread to use as a ‘tommy bar’ type tool to straighten its position and the enable reinstalling the adjustable foot.

Please provide us with the full model number (ENr number) shown inside the door and on the back panel.

You’d have more luck finding a diamond in a coal mine than a secondhand control board to fit that machine. You might best start by trying to establish which board you require then go look it up on the Siemens website, the link to which I have conveniently provided for you below. 😀

Looks pretty normal to me. That water filled upside down bowl certainly contributed to a slightly higher degree of condensation than perhaps one would normally expect. And especially so if the machine was left for several hours after the cycle had completed without opening the door.

OK, so now, as Dave mentioned, you will need to check the PCB on the control unit for damaged heater relay terminals. Access via outer door panel removal. Caution: Do not remove the 4 (2 each side) door hinge screws, only those around the perimeter of the inner stainless door panel. 😉

Are you referring to the inlet fill matrix, float system and attendant pipe work?

I wish the Healthcheck scheme every success. But I have to say that if anyone visits the WTA site and wades through all the wealth of insider knowledge contained within the article ‘How long should a machine last’ AND the further link to the UKW pages, I think many would simply give up the idea of registering and let fate take its course. Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

The 1 indicates its has ‘timed out’ for some reason. It doesn’t necessarily mean heater/temperature faults. It could be not draining properly for example. Is there water left in the tub?

    Thanks for that. 😀

ESF Q1.52 covers it exactly but I wonder what they meant by…..?

ESF wrote:engineering judgement will need to be applied to determine whether this is safe.

Clearly the photo evidence proves in this case that it is not safe. So why should that be left to “engineering judgment” to decide? If there are specific regs on heights for cooker hoods and maximum distances for isolation switches then a ‘don’t locate in this area’ regulation would eliminate any need for further judgment.

Re: Siemens dishwasher/Just flashes at me!

The error code refers to ‘Communication error between the electronics’.

Measures to take: Check plug and socket connection into the back of the appliance. And disconnect from power supply (unplug and plug back in).

If that fails then the diagnosis suggest the main power module is at fault. 🙁
