What ‘reg’ covers this?

ParticipantRe: Cooker Isolation Switch over the hob
It appears there are regs for the maximum distance an isolation switch should be but no minimum distance. Instead just ‘safety guidelines’ against the possibility of water and/or steam ingress. 😮

Make sure the flow meter impeller spins freely. If it doesn’t it’s either seizing through wear OR insufficient water pressure. Double check too that the new reed switch is OK.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SG143EGB02/16 salt problem
2 options are available to avoid replacing the whole darn softener unit simply because the light no longer comes on.
Firstly, replace the Reed Switch (part no. 00166876) as that usually is the reason it fails.
Secondly, do nothing, touch nothing. Instead simply top up the salt every 3 weeks or so (on the assumption you use it once a day) A full salt container has sufficient salt for 20 wash approximately.
HTH? 😀

Around 23 Ohms.

ParticipantRe: Bosch not empting at end of cycle
Most likely reason is that the pump is worn and needs replacing. That it appears to drain out fine with the red float manual intervention but when it attempts to drain very hot rinse water it seizes up.
The other possibility is that the drain outlet is partially restricted somewhere along its route causing the program to ‘time out’. It only has some 60 seconds to drain so any restriction can result in the effect you are experiencing.

ParticipantRe: Brexit Stage Left…
Well it seems spares price increases are coming into line with the finished goods, so that’s OK then. 😉
All really inevitable and very little, or nothing at all, to do with Brexit. But if it makes you feel better about it then yes it’s Brexit again all 17.4 million of us. 😀

Earthed electrical appliances are NOT to be used or recommended outdoors. Only double insulated garden tools and lighting. I suggest you consider using a propane gas barbecue as a much safer alternative.
As for an external 240v AC supply you will need to contact a Part P registered electrician for advice on the best suitable options to meet your needs. And for further safety advice.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi aquacycle 1200
Turn the water off, remove the inlet hose and check the fine mesh filter is clear, if not pull it out and clean. Meanwhile place hose in a bucket, turn on stopcock to confirm water is flowing. If those two checks pass OK then it could mean that the water inlet valve has failed.
However, that 11 flash error should not prevent you being able to set the machine working on a ‘spin only’ cycle. You might want to check that also. 😉

Thank you for that. 😀
11 flashes refers to it not filling. So, either the stopcock is shut off or inlet filter needs cleaning or the inlet valve is faulty?

Do us a favour please and let us in on the model number and PNc number of your machine.

Other posts (in Search) refer to the ‘Inverter Board’. 😕

It’s just a single pole switch in essence so yes it would show 0 ohms.
