The core to this machine working or not working, to LED’s flashing or not flashing is the PCB.:(

Circa 1983……amazing! 🙂

You will need to check out and clean the water tank, pump, float and surrounding areas. Most likely clogged with fluff and yuck.

The tubes fit on the same air chamber so it makes no difference which tube goes on which. Though you do make a good point about the drain hose, the outlet end of which should be higher than the highest water level otherwise it would syphon out.

Almost an impossible question to answer other than chances are the vast majority of machines wanting expensive replacement boards are scrapped. At a guess I’d say 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}…??

Firstly, I must correct an earlier post regarding the types of pressure switch fitted on your machine. Both switches are purely mechanical and therefore blowing into them to activate the switch stages will not necessarily harm them contrary to what I said earlier. Secondly, the single level switch acts as a heater safety switch (ensuring the heater won’t come on with no water in the tub). The 3 stage switch operates the two water levels plus a 3rd overfill safety level.

The part numbers I gave then are correct but I was way out on your machines age. It was manufactured back in 1996 not 1999. 😯

Yes they do!

I would need the full PNc number of your machine to look it up. No doubt your machine is best end of 17 yrs old and the two pressure switches I have for that vintage then the part nos for are: 1246839102 and 1245355209.

……….don’t overlook that Mains Filter, where Live & Neutral often clash. 😉

Replace the level sensors (pressure switches). The mechanical one because that may well be the reason the heater failed in the first place. And the analogue one because you blew into it and likely damaged it as a result.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi WJD1667 Blowing MCB and Fuse
Yes it does sound as though the mains filter might well be the problem.
