    Re: Candy CWB714 not spinning

    Hi mike..

Take a look at the rear of the Motor, in the centre is pushed a “tachometer coil”
Easily identifiable by the two wires leading from it..”probably yellow”

Thus is basically a coil of copper wire, underneath this unit is a small permanent magnet which is attached to the motor shaft, and turns accordingly.
This then creates a voltage in the Tacho coil, which the “brains” of the machine uses to vary the spin speed…

If you can use a multimeter, you can check for continuity in the coil itself.

If you can remove the coil then you will have access to the small magnet underneath.. This hopefully should be intact, and in place!

If all these check out, put it all back together and see how it goes..

Otherwise I think you may have a faulty motor,PCB or both!

Anyone else have any ideas ?.

Have you checked the waste connector under sink? That may well be blocked..

I won’t be able to reply for a few hours, so hopefully.,you may have a answer from another engineer on here…if not, I’ll get back to you later today…

Qualtex are OOS on the genuine ones, but have the pattern type….

I’d stick with genuine for these though!

    Hope this helps

These models are fitted with a centrifugal clutch for the spin part… .. These are located under the spinner near the motor, if I remember correctly…

Coonect have them as. 5031680507409. Although out of stock, you can see how they look

As for the no heat… I have no idea..

    Re: Candy CWB714 not spinning

    Hi mike

First off… Don’t blow directly, or indirectly in to the pressure switch as this will damage it..

You can disconnect the hose at the pressure switch, then blow down the rubber tubing..hopefully dislodging ( albeit temporarily ) any gunge that may have accumulated…

Also You say that you can feel the drum, without any obstruction, but have you checked the waste connector that you took the hose off, in order to check the water flow from the pump.?

Also did the machine do a spin cycle whilst you had the waste hose disconnected form the under sink connector ?

Let me know how you get on

    Re: Candy CWB714 not spinning

Try disconnecting the outlet hose under the sink, then put on a drain cycle and hold the hose in to a bowl..see how fast the water comes out.. If that seem ok,check the waste connector for blockages..

I doubt it’s the actual pressure switch..though if all else fails, its worth a try

    Re: Candy CWB714 not spinning

Sorry, it’s usually located at the top,it’s a small cylinder shaped device, with a small tube attached to it…could be a clear,or black tube.. And the other end of the tube leads down to somewhere on the drum, and is attached to a plastic bottle type attachment… This is the part that could be blocked up..

Pressure switch usually held on by one screw , power off first.. Then remove tube and blow down it..

    Re: Candy CWB714 not spinning

Have you looked at the small narrow hose going in to the pressure switch.. This could be blocked and the machine will not spin if it thinks there is to much water left in the drum… Disconnect the pipe and try blowing in to it… If it works after reconnecting, then this is the area you need to look at..

It could be blocked up with soap residue and needs to be thoroughly cleaned out or replaced..

Glad to have helped you.. Had a look at a new motor and could see the multi plug you refer to.. That was going to be my next suggestion….

Does it spin after a rinse cycle?
