Have tou fitted the outer part of the soap, drawer housing? If so maybe you have put the rubber tubing back incorrectly.

If not check the filter at the rear of the solenoid, after taking the hose off you will see it inside the rear of the opening.

If its fitted with the EL200 board, and the rinses light is flashing, then you need to replace the motor relay and the round fuse on the board .there is a topic on here about this..

If you need it done quickly i can do it for you, as i have parts available.

No, as long as you get the seal located properly you shouldnt have a problem.

    Re: Miele W504 heater element

They are just held in place by the gold coloured locking washers, that you see up against the rubber seal, if you dont have replacement washers with the new element then be careful when you remove them, once you have them off its just the usual bit of brute force to remove the seal..
Also make sure you locate the front of the element correctly inside the lower drum holding plate…

    Re: Changing Brushes

Very easy job, once you can see how to release the brushes, and made much easier if you take the motor out. Take a look at this youtube video…

If you are sure that the bearings are ok, and there is no play in the drum, then your next step, is to check all four of the top springs supporting the drum are intact, if they are ok then you need to repalce the shock absorbers.

I also agree with Martin’s conclusion, that it could be a stuck relay, but am wondering why the element has not burned itself out during a spin cycle, as there is not a lot of water left behind to keep it cool enough, for that amount of time between the next fill?

Dont these machines suffer with the wires feeding the heater getting burned out, and you need to replace the thermistor loom., as this gets burnt through also? And could it also be a faulty pressure switch?

Re: Hotpoint First Edition HVL211 – No water?

Check the tap is turned on first, then check for any kinks in inlet hose.
Whils the machine is out, try it on a wash again, and see if you can bear a humming noise from where the inlet hose connects, you can usually feel a vibration if you touch the threaded part of the hose also…

If you dont hear or feel any noise, then its your inlet solenoid thats faulty.

Yes youre correct, it is indeed fitted to the heater itself, although in the service manual under error code F15 says check the One shot stat..?

The NTC is the thermostat, it just works differntly to a normal thermostat..

If that checks out using thenwater test, then its highly likely its the one shot thermal fuse inside the sleeving… Just test using beep setting on the meter.
