ParticipantRe: Miele W304 – Drum Spider Change
HI Jem
Check out this link on you tube
This is the same way i have changed bearings in the past, not yet had the pleasure of replacing the drum spider, but once you get the drum out you will see a circular metal band around the front of the drum, loosen off and remove this and then the inner drum will slide out,to allow the spider to be renewed…good luck!

ParticipantRe: Bosch CL 726 condensor dryer
Hi guys, its definately a Bosch, and label clearly has CL726 on it,can only think that maybe its had a change if back panel at sometime? Anyway i connected the loose brown to the only place it could possibly have come from ,it was a connected to the capacitor, and supplied a live to the timer. All seems to be in working order again…
Thanks for the service info for the white knight stuff Colin!

Have u tried blowing from the pressure switch, down in to the pressure chamber, you may still have a blockage there, other than that go with previous answer…

ParticipantRe: FDL570 low rinse aid flashing
There should be other lights flashing also…
If its just the rinse aid light flashing, maybe you need to add rinse aid,and try againMartin

ParticipantRe: Bosch SPAM WAE20262AU/01 wont spin
Does the drum rotate during the wash cycle?
First try aspin without any clothes inside,as it may be just detecting a out of balance situation
Ither things to check are the waste outlet for any blockages…
Doubt its the motor brushes on a machine this new!

You need to check the motor brushes, they are more than likely worn…

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wd 420 spinning on dry cycle
Thats normal for these machines, its called a thermal spin..as long as it stops and carrys on drying normally…its not a fault.

ParticipantRe: What to consider when buying?
All dysons should be melted down!
I own a MIele S7 upright which is far superior to any Dyson, and I have had every model in for repair over the years.
The DC01 & 04 were probably the best ones made, after that they are absolute rubbishI cannot comment on Sebo, but have heard good reviews about them…
I also own a KIrby G5. Which I had second hand, they are a bit on the heavy side, but are built like Sherman tanks…

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Aquacycle ZWF W1421
If you can see the water entering through the soap drawer, then you have a faulty water inlet valve… If its not entering through there ,then you need to check your waste outlet has not slipped or moved from its usual position and is siphoning back in to the machine from there…

Just to close this thread.
This turned out to be the door latch!
After fitting each interlock in turn, and latching manually, both interlocks failed to release untill given a slight movement of the latching plate with a terminal scredriver!
This led me to the conclusion that the latch must be held in tne correct position to latch, and unlatch purely by the position of the door catch, so after taking the door apart and cleaning the latch spring and locating bar, refitting, and spraying a bit of WD40, both the old and new interlocks now function perfectly..I always thought that the door latches on most machines inserted fully through the interlock plate and then the interlock locked in position, but on this machine only the rounded end of the door pin pushes the latching plate over, just enough for it to be in the correct position, it never actully goes all the way through to the straigh part of the door pin…..
