Re: Bosch Condensing Dryer : WTE86304GB/05 Steams Up

The water drawer does fill to some extent, but the cust reports that after 15 to 20 mins the machine cuts out, presumably overheating,

when i tested it after a good cleaning out it was still running after 20 mins but opening the door resulted in clouds of steam billowing out,

Think i will try it with the pump pipe laying on the floor to see if it clears any better, and will check the front fan,

why are awkward jobs always miles from base? 😐

    Re: Experience Vs Training.

    depends..
does this ficticious engineer have 30 days, 30 weeks, 30 months or 30 years of experience?

regarding the second part of the question, that isnt down to classroom training or electrical qualifications, its more about concience and attitude and i don’t know if you can train that into someone?

Re: Bosch field coil wrong way round?

Fair point but the last one I repaired was £600 worth of intergrated machine for a couple who clearly were not short of the means to have the job done to professional standards with a new brush ring and carbons (which are longer than standard bosch carbons)a comm stick clean up, jobs a good un!

if you get it wrong it won’t reach full speed on final spin, customer will complain clothes not drying,
always carry a tipex pen, great for marking field coils and pumps etc

so if it was the ‘start/pause’ and ‘end of cycle’ lights flashing x2 what would that indicate?

    Re: Bosch wf02264gb01 spin problem

    Thanks for your help guys,

the machine has problems i described with normal loads,

after cleaning the armature and making sure brushes are well bedded things have improved, but it does still ‘time jump’ on spin at the end of a full wash cycle.

Thanks for that – so presuming pump is kicking in after 15 mins, why might clothes be coming out hot, wet etc

    Re: Hoover VHC691b Capacitor

Only ever done them from the front, only way as far as i can see.

Its a bit awkward on first few . what i do now is carry some coathanger wire which i tape the new cap to. this enables me to refit 13mm nut etc keeping cap in place with coathanger wire. the just pull the wire off breaking the tape.

20 minute job once you done a few.

Be careful as lots of brittle bits of plastic dotted around on these machines
