I don’t think there is any chance changing the cap would affect heating,

Back to basics. Is there a supply to the element?

Re: Beko Washing Machine weird pipe to suspension

Thanks I thought as much but at the time no one would admit to having looked at the machine. I think they have lost the drain hose bung and jammed the draindown hose onto the nearest part they could reach, in this case the peg on the bottom of the suspension leg. Being extra careful as its in an upper flat.

    Thanks

Re: White Knight CL 847 not drying properly.

First check you have selected full heat on the front selector switch…

Also check on the back of the machine, you will find (if one is fitted to this model) a red button.

When you press it you will either get an audible click (meaning that you have reset the thermostat) or no click meaning that the fault lies else where and you need a qualified engineer which you will find on this site.

Re: Candy CDB754D dryer sol. valve fault.

How long into the drying cycle is it before the valve is energised?

Just a thought as some don’t kick in for a few minutes although not sure about this model

Re: hotpoint arcadia board abort mode

Yes its fitted with a linear pressure switch

Is there a way to get machine to recognise that the fault,

ie. o/c pump has now been rectified?

Re: Bosch Washing Machine ALL lights flash!

Thanks Martin, that clears that one up then. Talk about dejavue

This machine is under 2 years old but cust failed to register.
Told them to try Bosch anyway as they seemed reluctant to dip there hands in their pockets

    Re: indesit carbon brush

Why not carefully (put yer glasses on) hacksaw the brush to face the opposite direction.

Ideally you would also use the same blade to slightly serate the brush, use a combing action with the hacksaw blade to help it bed in,
finish off by re-fitting and then bed the brushs in with some comm stick cleaner, also available from qualtex

    Re: Beko DRCS68W broken belt

Got same machine and belt has snapped after fitting new one 2 weeks ago. This time going back with front bearing felt as well.

    Serial No. 09204584-10

What method should be used to stretch belt over motor pulley?

I levered down with a screwdriver under motor bracket last time. I presume there must be a better way?

Re: hotpoint wd640 no water going to dryer

if you got 240v to valve then chances are board is ok, valve is knackered or water supply problem.
