I’m pretty sure you have to take the condenser off and cut into the insultion at the back to dig out the sensor on the evap. You get instructions with the part so you know where to cut. Then its gaffer tape and expanding foam to reassemble. A great job! i don’t think!

ParticipantRe: Beko WMA510 No spin amongst other things
Have had broken wires on motor plug before and it’s really not obvious. I changed the motor before i noticed it 😳 , gave each wire a good tug in desperation and bingo. If not i’d go for the board.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDL11P Front Drum Seal coming off.
The seal/bearing you have is it black or white? The versions with bearing pads have a greyish black self adhesive seal and the version that just has the felt bearing has a slightly thicker white seal/bearing. If it is white one and still comes off then glue is the way i guess. Not come accross this version though, hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: ZANUSSI ZDC 67550W dryer wont start?
Sounds like capacitor fault to start with but may have done the motor in if it’s not making any noise at all now. Capacitors are cheap enough to though. Go onto the shop@ link in the navigation box they’ll get you sorted with one.

With a fault like that the relms of a good guess could end up being more than you need to spend 😕 Could be a PCB fault or as little as a faulty door switch. Unlikely the motor and they are no brushes on these and if the capacitor had gone it would just buzz and turn with a helping push.
Check out the repairs@ section is best bet plus it will be fixed sooner rather than later for the five of you 😀

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDL11P Front Drum Seal coming off.
The front bearing pads must have disintergrated or fallen off as they should be there for the drum to ride on and the felt seal just seals the gap. I think there are three pads along the bottom and two further round on those and they just clip into the duct. The drum may have worn the duct away completly though if it’s only been run with the seal 😕

ParticipantRe: Aqualtis door delivered damaged, Again!
Hotpoint. They were cheapest and they’ve been fine sending replacements but having to pay each time and wait for refunds. It’s got cheaper each time too for the hassle, If this next one is damaged too number six will probably be free! 😀

ParticipantRe: Fixed price repairs at Comet
Is the the customer able to to “change their mind” and get all their money back the same as if they change there mind if we do a job in their house? I remember something comming up at a W.G. meeting a couple of years ago about trading standards and that we have to also inform customers of their right to change their mind in a set period of time for jobs of any trade completed in the home. Can’t think whether my brain just made this up tho! Heavy night!

ParticipantRe: honesty doesnt pay
I.S.E are the only manufacturer i know that actually writes down whats not covered so it’s plane and simple for the customer and makes it so easy to charge for socks etc. If a customer rings with a “no drain” we dont even ring ise as its always blocked so no point wasting time ringing when it’s going to be chargable anyway and you get your money there and then. Brill!
