ParticipantThe motor is only secured to the drum with 2 x 10mm headed bolts so i don’t know what other screws/bolts you’re talking about ?
Once the two bolts are removed , its a case of easing the motor off ( with maybe a little leverage )backwards towards the rear plate .

I would as Paul said contact them and say you forgot to register and explain that you expected more from a quality brand 😀Greg
Only selected models have the extended 5 or 10 yr warranty , not all appliances Greg 😉

ParticipantIf its only just over its 2 yr warranty period , i would be tempted to contact Siemens ( BSH appliance care ) and explain how disappointed you are with the failure of this machine when its only just over 2 yrs old. . Its not a given but they may offer a compromise with an offer to help….what have you got to lose ?

ParticipantIs the noise occuring during the ‘wash’ part of the cycle ? If it is then the chances are that the motor seal has leaked allowing water to get in to the motor and corrode the motor and bearings –
Not the easist of jobs and can work out quite expensive if a new motor and seal is required 🙁

ParticipantI’d be looking at the door lock . Try and start the machine with the door open……then close the door and try again. If the beeps are the same , there’ your problem.

ParticipantPut it onto a rinse cycle but with no clothes in it. Will open all the valves at some stage during the 20min cycle .

ParticipantI’ve been on the broads countless number of times and absolutely love it. Being a keen fisherman helps . I would warn you though, not to go at the holiday peak as the rivers/broads can get very busy and you will find people mooring up in all the best spots by about 1pm – 2pm .
Avoid the school holidays and it should be a very pleasant experience for you .nomadPaul
ParticipantIs it noisy and screechy when it starts to ramp up ? The brushes may need a bit of time to bed in.
Try and put it on an empty drum spin cycle but at a lower spin speed , say 600 to 800 rpm for 5 -7 mins. If that runs ok , leave for a few miniutes then repeat the process but maybe at 900 -1000 rpm . Work your way up to full speed . Sometimes this will get the brushes bedded in better and allow the machine to work correctly.
Unfortunately , if the old brushes had worn down to such an extent that the copper braid had poked through , they may have scored the armature causing poor contact between the new brush faces and the armature. This in turn creates a lot of electrical noise and the main control module doesn’t like this and will consequently abort the spin cycle

ParticipantIf its nicked the Temp reg then i’d be more even tempted to say something has got trapped . Might be worth having a quick look through the heater access hole when you fit the new heater/NTC.

ParticipantA very common problem with Bosch dishwashers is low water levels which will cause a no heat fault. Check all the usual inlet hoses/pressure chambers etc for blockages that might cause low water levels.
When fully running the water should just about cover the base of the tub and reach about 1/3 to 1/2 up the salt lid cap. Any less than this and it’ll give you probs.

ParticipantPossible foreign object….bra wire maybe…..trapped between the two drums ?
nomadPaul
ParticipantHavn’t got details to hand but i’d be looking the motor to see if its got a start capacitor fitted to it.
nomadPaul
ParticipantThere is a cover in the sump area for the drain pump impellor access. It doesn’t have a torx20 screw but just ‘clips’ in. If this is missing or loose then it could cause the slow/no drain fault

ParticipantThe Bosch badge on the front maybe a little bit ..errr…misleading . As with a lot of machines out there ( although rare in the BSH range ) some models are just re-badged other brands.
