In short , yes you can. Its a bit fiddly but can be done. The hardest thing is getting the distributor back on and the trick is to put the seal onto the sump first , making sure you put a touch of washing up liquid on the seal before offering it up. Its also important to make sure the distributor is fully pushed home on all sides before twisting it back on.

The button used to select the test/coding mode is the spin speed button so if the buttons are out of order them you’ll need to find the spin speed ‘changer’ to get into the program.

Be careful with the o ring seal when fitting. I generally use a very small amount of washing up liquid to seat it correctly as they can kink up if you are not careful. Push on first then twist.

You take the base off to change a heat pump?

    Re: Bosch/Neff dishwasher heat pumps

If you work/live in a hard water area then keeping the salt topped up is imperative , even when using all in one products. Its also worth advising the customer to use a dw descale every 6 months or so. Nearly every heat pump that goes open circuit (with a dry base…. ) will have a limescale build up on the inner side of the heater and a burn mark the other side causing the o/c condition.

Seen it a few times where worn carbons damage the board and it aborts as it reaches approx 1000rpm (it does vary) What happens if you put it on a lower spin speed?

Didn’t see this yesterday .F19 , although officially is dispenser , in reality it’s nearly always the heat exchanger valve. If it goes to F19 as soon as you start it up its valve AND module. If the F19 appears after approx 2 mins , a valve on its own is normally suffecient.

Re: Bosch WTV 74307GB/07 Door lock Fitting

The small cover around the lock is clipped in so once the LHS panel is off, you can remove that which reveals a screw that holds the lock in. If I remember correctly , you may need to undo 1 or 2 screws on the front panel (the ones closest to the lock) to allow you to pull the panel slightly forward to give yourself a little wriggle room to remove the lock. Make sure you have a good luck at the lock before pulling it out as it sits in a very specific way.

We , ourselves , as engineers have queried why we still sell the polinox base machines as we obviously come across more of these than we’d like. The write off/exchange percentages seem to be so much more than any other product and although the earlier strainless steel ones can also leak , at least there is a fix for them. I’m growing increasingly frustrated at telling customers that their 3 year old Bosch dishwasher can’t be fixed.

Actually the other way Clive. In order, it’s back left back right front right front left…..being careful not to overtighten. In all honesty , I’ve fitted quite a few of the sump repair seals….With varying success !!!

    Re: Bosch wm can’t reset

Not sure that reset procedure is right though. On most WAE machines , the reset is turn selector switch to the 6 o’clock position , hold the spin speed button and then turn selector switch switch one click clockwise. Release the spin speed button and that should clear it.

Just an addition to this. Have had a few of these and it’s never been the dispenser. There are 2 situations to this fault.
1: the error code appears after approx 2 mins of start up. normally means the heat exchanger outlet valve only is faulty.
2: the error code is instant on switch on. This is normally both the heat exchanger outlet valve and the main PCB.

Probably door lock tbh. Try it with the door open and you’ll get the same signal.

If this is the model with the consensor on the left hand side then i would be checking the consensor for blockages. It may well be going into an overheat state. If you can get into the test program , you might find F:08 stored in there.

    Re: Bosch SMV53A00GB/04 FD9204

Is it a plastic base model or does it have a full stainless steel tub? If its a plastic base model it’s probably leaking from the tub/base seal either at the back/ right hand side which you would normally see as a yellow crust forming along the gaps. This can’t be repaired.
If its a full stainless steel tub machine then it’s likely to be the sump seal leaking which can be repaired by replacing the sump itself.
