Its surprising the number of times a ‘child-lock’ can catch out an Adult…..and , i must admit , engineers 😳

i have had a couple of appliances where the customer has leant on the dishwasher door whilst its in a level position and this has caused the inner door to bend by the hinges . This can cause a gap to appear between the door and tub edge . ould be worth checking out as well.

Er, closes the inlet valve, surely?

Sorry , i have a habit of poor descriptions of parts…i mean the dump valve that lets the water flow from the matrix into the tub , not the inlet valve that lets mains water into the matrix :innocent: This will open prematurely , draining the matrix early and give low water levels in the tub 😉

    Re: Bosch SS66A02GB Inconsistent Filling

The main fault i’ve found that causes this problem is this – If the pressure chamber , in the bottom right hand corner on the matrix side gets clogged with limescale/food deposits , water can sit in it , thus causing the sensor arm to stay in the ‘out’ position , meaning that when the appliance gets a second fll , it immediately thinks the matrix is full and so opens the inlet valve , meaning that no water wil get into the tub .

Check that after the matrix fully fills and empties and that the sensor arm goes back nto its closed position

are you sure theres enough water going into the dishwasher to begin with ? The water is circulated via a wash motor . Can you hear this motor fire up after the appliance has filled ?

Re: Bosch SVG5613GB/12 won’t drain properly.

The pump switching off before the tray is empty could be a blockage in the drain hose/waste connector . Can you hear the pump running audibly ? If you reset the appliance ( pushing the two buttons simaltaneously as indicated on the control panel ) the pump should run . If you can’t hear the pump then its prob the pump thats blocked. If you can hear the pump running but no water is draining then you should concentrate on the drain hose and waste . I usually disconnect the drain hose from the waste under the sink , put the hose end in a bucket and then pump it out – No water coming out suggests a blocked drain hose

Re: NEFF Fan Oven – Fan Rotor Removal

Is it the half-moon element with the top screw behind the fan blade ? They can be a little tricky to get out . Sometimes loosening the rear fan can give you enough room to manoeuvre the blade out of the way . If you do decide to access the rear of the oven , pls remember to power off the appliance first !!!

    Re: bosch dishwasher door weight

Does your dishwasher have a decor door and is it fitted ? Without the weight of the fitted outer decor door , you will get a very strong door return which eases when the decor door is fitted

Re: Bosch KGN34V00 freezing up – BSH engineer confused

i believe there is a fault with these machines with the drain hole in the freezer section being blocked/not clear . this causes the defrosted ice to stay in the freezer tray and slowly build up on the freezer element , thus leading to the fault you described . If you have to call them out again , get them to check this drain hole

Re: Bosch KSU40 – Water Leaking but Condensor Tray dry

is there a drain hole at the bottom of the rear wall ? ( inside the fridge ) This can sometimes get blocked and cause water to pool up on the bottom of the fridge compartment – it may need cleaning out
